If this was out in '95-05' I could see them getting popular. Probably still a built in audience for this but i'm not it.

Good ol' power metal. The vocalist has a really pleasing tone in his voice. Loads of great stuff coming from Sweden. It's too bad we don't have that much traditional power metal going on in Finnish scene anymore, Dreamtale and couple of others but that's that.
