Nitro

They are apparently putting out a new album. I listened to the new track that is now available online, and not one aspect of the song or performance even remotely resembles their other albums. I don't get the point of even calling it Nitro.

Michael Angelo and Malice were supposed to play here next week. Looks like it is just going to be Malice now, which is still gonna be cool!!

I'll wait to hear the whole album before I make a decision. I knew after all this time that Jim wouldn't be doing the same styled vocals, & I knew it would definitely be influenced by modern music. So hearing this is not shocking. It sounds like Saliva or Dope or one of those type of bands.

I moved on before the reunion ended.

I wanted to hear it. The one song they released was pretty good.

I like how when they toured in India for this reunion they played only two of their own songs: "Freight Train" as the opener and the new song as one of the encores. Otherwise the entire set was cover songs. I guess even they don't believe in their own material!

I saw Michael Angelo Batio opening for Winger last year and it was dreadful. The shredding to prerecorded tracks was already boring enough, but then he brought out some female vocalist from Germany to sing overplayed songs from Jefferson Airplane and other classic rock groups.

Yeah, it was one of the most bizarre reunions no doubt.

I think they did all kinds of stunts to get label interest. That ain't the way the metal scene works in 2019 and someone should've told them before they even got started. How much did they raise on Kickstarter? They could've done a great album for 4K IMHO.

You gotta basically stick it out for a decade or so to get any traction. Even then your deal won't be too impressive to someone expecting an 80s rock contract.

Yeah, still I imagine they could have got on the bill for the annual M3 fest or the Monster's of Rock Cruise. Those events are always looking out for bands that haven't played every other year for the past decade. I wonder if the singer could actually do a full set of their old material though. It's one thing for a guy like Don Dokken to sing his parts an octave lower...with Nitro the helium-style vocals were a huge part of whatever appeal they had.
