Rate AC DC 1 through 4

1) Ballbreaker

2) Rock or Bust

3) Stiff Upper Lip

4) Black Ice

I was looking through my cd case in my car...
I've been a fan of the band for decades....
And I'd love to get your maniac's opinion ...
I remember when KISS would deliver an album a year...
These guys had five to eight year spans of no release...
What's the numbers

out of these 4 albums, Black Ice is the only one I've heard more than 6 times. I love everything upto Flick of the Switch, but I'm not a fan of ac/dc's newer stuff.

None of the above.

They're a hard band to rank. Their sound is so similar from album to album it's kind of hard to differentiate between. I like them but I don't know how I could rank on above the other, at least out of this grouping.

Only Like a few songs off the other three.

From the above list, i only enjoy a couple of songs from black ice and stiff upper lip.

I own all four but to be honest I haven't listened to Ballbreaker, Stiff Upper Lip or Black Ice in so long that I'd have to revisit them all to make an informed choice.

I did like Rock Or Bust quite a bit when it was new, though, and it's a recent enough release that it's still somewhat "fresh" in my mind, so I guess that'd get the nod.

I'm a huge AC/DC fan! Own all their albums.

Out of the albums listed, Black Ice is my favorite.

My personal favorite releases by them are:

1. For Those About To Rock
2. The Razor's Edge
3. Dirty Deeds
4. Black Ice
5. Powerage

1. Black Ice (I hadn't been that excited about AC/DC since Fly On the Wall, after hearing this)
2. Rock or Bust (Nice follow up)
3. Ballbreaker (A Bunch of mediocre songs)
4. Stiff Upper Lip (Easily the worst AC/DC album...this album pretty much sucks, which had me surprised at how much I enjoyed Black Ice. I thought this band was done...)

I think Rock or Bust was just okay.....
Black Ice would be third.

Now that would be a lot more difficult for me.  At least after "Highway"; that's one of my "desert island discs".

Black Ice (I really liked it when it came out but it hasn't aged well and I haven't listened to it since it was still fairly new--it sounds too "happy" and "jolly" for an AC/DC album)

I like some good ACDC too. Though I think my #1 album would be either Highway to Hell or Back in Black or even Razor's Edge

Ironically this is what the bottom of my list of their entire discography would look like...None of these albums are even close to albums like Powerage, Flick of The Switch, Hiway to Hell, Back In Black or anything else they put out...

Highway To Hell, Powerage & Let There Be Rock are in a three-way tie for my fave AC/DC album. Highway To Hell would only win for sentimental reasons, I've said this before on the boards but as a toddler I would sleep with my brother's vinyl of HTH and cry if he wouldn't play the record at my behest.

I disagree. I think Black Ice is right up there with their best, and I think Stiff Upper Lip is close. My perspective is, of course, different since I didn't buy my first AC/DC album until like 2014 or something. Haha. Like, I cannot believe that Flick of the Switch wasn't f*cking HUGE! God, that album is so good.

Anyway, I'd put of some of their so-called best albums at the bottom of my list.

the others don't count, because heard so much AC/DC my entire life to know when it has finally just been dialed in for a paycheque.

Black Ice album was just a ripoff of Billy Squier.

While I have heard all 4 of those albums, the only 2 I own are Black Ice and Rock or Bust.

I think both are decent but Black Ice overstays it's welcome by 4 or 5 tracks. Trim it down to 9 or 10 instead of 15 and you've got a real winner there. Rock or Bust got it right. Short & sweet.
