Brainstorm vs Rage

Another fun pole. I've been playing albums by those two bands during the last couple of days.

Still haven't made up my mind.

Oh, Brainstorm easily. Rage is good, but I love the Brainstorm vibe and think the vocals are way better.

Rage due to the amount of music they have.

Rage for me. They've done many styles over the years and each type has been superb.

Brainstorm. I could never get in to Rage at all.

Went with Rage after all. But it was a tough call.

it is but i am starting to appreciate their earlier material more and more.

i came in with soul temptation. I got some of the previous cds but for some reason they never clicked with me until now...

Even though I went with Rage, Brainstorm is very close to them. I just picked Brainstorm's Unholy. It was their last with the original singer but I think it's still excellent.

I'm going with Rage.

It isn't that close for me. I've got 3 Brainstorm CDs, and 19 by Rage. Brainstorm is good and I enjoy them a lot, but Rage is on a different level.

Anyone like Almanac, the new band/project by Victor Smolski? Andy B.Franck from Brainstorm is one of the three vocalists.

There's also David Readman from PC69.

Yes i got Almanac last summer. Didn't like it a lot. Maybe it is because i did not give it a proper listen. Will revisit it again this weekend.

I haven't actually heard it myself. This topic just made me think of it.

I did recently order a second hand copy of the Nuclear Blast All-Stars CD. I mean that's sort of a Smolski solo album as well, with different interesting vocalists.

SITWW alone decides my vote. 88-90 Rage is godlike.

Much cooler than the original. In fact, this was supposed to be the cover before the label decided on the lame band photo.

That looks more like a Rage album. A great album like that should have had that better cover.

I always found brainstorm albums not to be easily memorable. But both bands' latest releases have been awesome.

Did you get that box set? It's an interesting one but i did not pick it up since i already own most of the releases inside.
