Beyond the remix, it collects all the various bonus tracks from the different versions of the album.

Although I don't really care about the remix (never really noticed a problem with the album), I'd like to get all those bonus tracks.

This is the only brainstorm album missing in my collection. Definitely worth picking up.

I don't have Memorial Roots. How does it compare to the rest of their catalogue?

It's a good album, consistent with their post Liquid Monster material. I think they peaked at Liquid Monster. Hard to top that one, anyway.
But yeah, a solid album. The mix is definitely it's weak point. If you didn't know better, you'd think they album came out in the 80s. And it has a bit of a St. Anger snare tone, which is annoying.
I think this is one of their best songs ever.
That's the new version, which sounds so much more powerful than this one, the original.

"Liquid Monster" is the only one I ever had, quite good, but quite disappointing if that's their best effort...

Hungry and soul temptation are both awesome albums. Highly recommended.

Yeah, of the three I have Soul Temptation is probably the best. The other two are Metus Mortis and Liquid Monster. My copy of Soul Temptation also comes with a bonus Live DVD.
But I suppose I'll skip Memorial Roots. I'm not the biggest fan of Brainstorm to begin with.

I think all Brainstorm is very good. And I do agree that Liquid Monster is one of their better releases.

I'm just a sucker for big hooks and that album is loaded with them.

I've seen their albums but never purchased... always something else!!
But hearing that track makes me wonder what I've been missing!

Am I the only one who missed this exclusive digital single from 2019?
Just $1.29 on Amazon. Pretty kick-ass tune.

Digital single?
I'm not into paying for air.

This is the first I've heard of it. If it's the only way to acquire the tune then I'll get it.

I used to be the same way, but I've changed. I still buy CDs, but I rip them to MP3 and then pretty much never touch them again. So why the hell does it make sense to be so adamantly against buying digital stuff, as I always was? Haha.

Yeah I'm over my boycott of digital music too. I do the same thing as Eyesore, when I DO buy a CD I simply rip it so I can add it to a flash drive. Once I realized that's what I do it seemed stupid to not just skip a step and buy the digital version in the first place. My only caveat is that I have to be able to download it again for free in case something happens to the original download and with Amazon I can do that.
I'm also in the same camp as Eyesore when it comes to Liquid Monster. I think I have all the Brainstorm albums up to that point and then 1 or 2 after LM and I decided LM was their pinnacle so no point in buying any more from them. Same conclusion I came to with Hardcore Superstar after their S/T.

I agree with you on Hardcore Superstar. They just haven't even come close on subsequent albums. Brainstorm, however, are still churning out really kick-ass albums, still catchy as hell, just not quite as catchy as Liquid Monster. That one is their "Mutt Lange" album, so to speak.

i would agree with LM being their best but I still think the last couple have been good. The album after LM was not very good though...
I did like the last HCSS. Not nearly as great as S/T or Beg fir It but very enjoyable.
As for digital music - I am with both of you. I buy cds but I also buy digital. I rip everything and take my entire collection with me.

A band like Brainstorm deserves more sales. But I also haven't bought their latest few releases. If I had more time I would definitely deep dive.
Maybe one day.
