I consider it my duty as a Poison fan to finally see this film by/starring Bret Michaels, but I'm expecting it to be truly awful! Going a step further, I'll also listen to the soundtrack solo album that he released for this and see which is worse.

It's been many years, but if I recall correctly, it's one of those "so bad, it's good" type of movies. A few beers while viewing might help ease the pain.

Based on a recommendation from my sister-in-law, we watched the first 2 episodes of the Showtime series 'Billions' with Paul Giamotti.
Eh, I dunno. A bunch of rich, white people doing dick-ish stuff.

100% accurate description. The same can't be said for the album though...it's just plain bad. But unfortunately it's not his worst solo album either.

"Sausage Party" (2016)
In Seth Rogen's definitely-not-for-kiddies cartoon, food products think that life beyond the grocery store doors will be paradise... until one brave sausage learns the horrific truth and battles to save his friends from the inevitable. Yes, it's dumb as a box of rocks but "Sausage Party" is also funny as hell. How can you not love a movie where Salma Hayek voices a lesbian taco and the villain is (literally) a douche? Just turn your brain off for 90 minutes and have a blast.

I started this last night but fell asleep. I'll try and finish it tonight. My wife was thoroughly offended though and went upstairs after about 5 minutes. So it was totally worth it for that.

My wife worked a late shift last night, so I had the TV to myself once the kids went off to bed...which was a good thing, cuz she would have effing HAAAATED that movie and I never would've heard the end of it

Yea, my wife was sitting on the couch, but just reading stuff on her phone, not paying attention. Finally she looked up and said "What is this filth you're watching?" I think it was the honey mustard's rant that pushed her over the edge.

Ha! Yeah, Honey Mustard should've had a bigger part in the movie. He was awesome.

"A Special Cop In Action" (1976)
The late, great Maurizio Merli, aka The Man With The Most Bitchin' 'Stache in Eurocrime, returns for his third and final go round as two fisted Italian cop Inspector Betti. First he takes down a gang of kidnappers who've grabbed a school bus full of kids for ransom, then goes after a smuggling ring led by John Saxon (slumming in yet another European B-Movie for a quick mortgage payment).
"Special Cop" is a typically mindless, action packed slice of Italian guns-n-gangsters nonsense, I may have dozed off for a few minutes in the middle of this, but when I woke up it didn't feel like I'd missed anything.

"Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning" (1985)
Lil' Tommy Jarvis - lone survivor of "The Final Chapter" and slayer of Jason Voorhees - is all grown up now and trying to get his head together at a halfway house for troubled teens. However, someone who looks an awful lot like The Big J suddenly starts carving up the housemates one by one. Is Jason back from the dead? Has Tommy gone off the rails? Or is it someone else entirely? I hadn't seen this installment in quite a few years and it was actually better than I remembered. Nothin' fancy of course, just 90 minutes of ultra-violence, blood, boobs and sleaze.

Godzilla's Revenge (1971)
As promised (threatened?), Svengoolie showed this little gem last night. A lonely, latchkey bullied kid escapes reality by dreaming he goes to Monster Island and befriends Minya. There he learns that Minya is bullied as well by a monster named Gabara (not coincidentally the name of the real bully). Lessons are learned along the way, which come in handy as the kid gets mixed up with some bank robbers. What a goofy movie. There's plenty of monster action attained almost entirely of stock footage from previous films. The new monster, Gabara, looks like a reject from Ultra Man and ends up getting his ass handed to him by Minya with an assist from Godzilla. Oh, and were short shorts all the rage for Japanese kids back then?

I still say Gabara looks like a scaly cat.
