OK, I admit I had to look it up but I knew the Charlie X episode was an early one; I didn't think it was that early though.

Never heard of it. Just read the synopsis on Wikipedia tho, and all I can say is "Ehhh..." doesn't sound like my kinda meat.

It's a decent crime/mystery flick in the vein of Reservoir Dogs where a bunch of thugs end up turning on each other. Hamill is totally demented in it and it also features Tony "Candyman" Todd who oversees the proceedings. It's worth a look if you like violent crime drama.

"Finding Dory" (2016)
The long awaited sequel to "Finding Nemo" focuses on El!en DeGeneres' forgetful blue fish, who sets off on a quest to find her long-lost parents. Naturally her friends Marlon and Nemo are along for the ride and they all make some new friends along the way, including a hilariously depressed octopus voiced by Ed O'Neill. It's Pixar so of course it's gorgeously animated, frequently funny and fun for the whole family. Recommended even if you don't have kids.

An American Werewolf In London (1981)
Two american college students hiking across Britain are attacked by a creature one night out in the middle of nowhere. One is killed, the other (David Naughton) lives and is cursed with lycanthropy. An excellent film, with great effects courtesy of Rick Baker and an effective soundtrack (Blue Moon, Mondance, Bad Moon Rising). Highly recommended.

I haven't seen that one in ages but I remember being very entertained by it. If I remember correctly it has a dark humor running through it.

Indeed it does. Another high point of the film.

Godzilla Raids Again (1955/1959)
After the huge success the first Godzilla movie was in Japan, Toho decided to rush out this first sequel. Because of the rush, the final product is rather lacking. Although this features the first daikaiju battle in a long line of films, it just doesn't look right. The camera seems sped up instead of slowed down, making the fights look unnatural. Also, they had Godzilla mainly roaring using Anguirus' roar. The whole movie just ain't quite right and is my least favorite in the series. It also doesn't help that the film was dubbed and released as Gigantis the Fire Monster back in the day. It has been fixed at Toho's request title wise, but the dubbing has remained. I have the original Japanese version as well. It is a little better but my criticism still remain.

Yeah, that movie is screwed up. The deal with mixing up the roars is pathetic; how does that happen? And while I like the general look of Anguirus, it always bugs me when they show him crawling on his knees. Plus he's pretty weak in all the G movies except Final Wars where they gave him this "rolling hedgehog" attack that's pretty effective.

Miserable weather today - perfect for a "Stay inside and watch movies" marathon...
"Justice League: Throne of Atlantis" (2015)
The all new, more badass Aquaman makes his debut in this DC Animated Universe flick, as half human/half Atlantean Arthur Curry discovers his birthright just in time to help the JLA fight off an Atlantis invasion of the surface world. As usual it's full of stylishly animated ultra-violence.
"Red Dog" (2011)
An entertaining Australian comedy/drama (apparently based on a true story) about a well traveled stray canine who wanders into a remote iron-mining village and has a profound effect on the lives of its residents. A quirky, heartwarming family flick.
"Batman: The Killing Joke" (2016)
The classic graphic novel from 1989 - considered by many to be the definitive Batman/Joker story - gets the DC Animated treatment and the result is a mixed bag. A lengthy, mostly unnecessary prologue involving a Batman/Batgirl romance (?) which wasn't in the original story has been added, apparently to pad out the run time to feature length. Once it gets that out of the way and gets down to business, though, it's a faithful adaptation of the G.N., with Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy (from "Batman: The Animated Series") returning to voice the Joker and Batman. Be warned, this one earns its "R" rating, it is not a cartoon for the kiddies!

In your first post I missed that Mark Hamill voices The Joker in these. That's actually not too far from his character in Sushi Girl. If The Joker were gay that is...

The family watched the "new" Ghostbusters movie Saturday night. I didn't hate it, but it really just struck me as an unnecessary and pointless reboot. I wasn't bothered by the female cast. I was bothered that it was unfunny.

Babylon 5 - S2, E18
These last several episodes merely serve to set up the romantic relationship between Sheridan and Delenn which is crucial to the later episodes.
