Funny this should come up. As I'm currently in the midst of ripping a sizable chunk of my cd collection to the computer, I have re-discovered the awesomeness that is Exciter. I only have 4 Exciter cds, but I think I need to add more. Stat.
Nothing wrong with Anvil, but the best of collection and Plugged in Permanent give me just about all the Anvil I need.

| I chose Anvil as I own three of their CDs but I have a CDR of a few Exciter tunes and I must say they are great as well. | |

| I had to look up Anvil, to find out just how many releases they got.
I counted twenty. That's over 200 tunes to drink to...imagine....

I voted Exciter ! Ha ! They put out a bunch of 80's releases out.
One thing, they hired a lead singer, at one point, Rob Malnati....

| Exciter is ok. Doesn't do much for me. Anvil is really good. I own every single album. They're not a mindblowing band in terms of always writing inventive or interesting stuff, but it's a lot of fun. They only have a few weak albums out of 16. Everybody should hear Metal on Metal and Forged In Fire, and a lot of their mid-era stuff is underrated too. Speed of Sound is crazy heavy and Plenty of Power is fantastic. Juggernaut of Justice is by far the best of their new stuff. | |

| Love 'em both but I went with Anvil. Ultimatum got to open for Exciter once and that was a huge thing for us. Got to meet Anvil once and that was so very cool for me. I tried to convince Ultimatum to record a cover of Anvil's "Blood on the Ice" but it ultimately didn't happen.
