Imo, the most underappreciated band ever. They had the tunes, unique style and sound, angst, anger, sex appeal, mayhem and chaos. Every show was an epic event. They had concept albums, they were the perfect blend of punk and metal, and Wendy was a total fox that lived by no ones rules [and she did her own stunts!]. I say F the Rnr HoF until Wendy O/The Plastmatics get some respect [which will never happen].
Oh - and Lemmy agrees with me. Rant over.

Only band in my teen years that I didn't like. Bought the lp for it's wild cover photo - a car - drove into a swimming pool - ?? someone had a mohawk - I saw a W.O.W concert much later on in life - and they were great - " Bump and Grind " I heard.....but never bought the release - someone said Ace played guitar on that track -

Sure, a total fox...if you're into trailer park meth-heads with titties so far apart it looked like they didn't like each other.

Hell yeah, the Plasmatics were badass. I will never forget seeing the music video for "The Damned" on MTV when I was about 12. I literally was !ike "What the f*** just happened?" Wendy terrified and fascinated me in equal measure.
STILL the best music video ever made!!

While I respect and enjoy their dedication and enthusiasm to their craft (and the tits, of course), I've found the music/vocals to be missing that certain something.
