Modern Rock

So, I have opened up my mind a crack to some of these mainstream rock radio bands the last couple of years. Do you appreciate any of these bands? Whom is your fav?

Met the guys in Hinder last summer. Cool dudes and they put on a helluva show. I also find Rev Theory pretty catchy.

I like a few of the Coldplay albums so I chose them. Definitely talent there.

I went with Shinedown even though their last one pretty much sucked. I could've picked Buck Cherry too but I think they're really samey.

Coldplay but only because of their brilliant X&Y album.

I voted Buckcherry. They are samey but what they do is good. Cannot stand Nickelback.

I would take any of those bands over Coldplay. Words cannot adequately express my disdain for that band.

I don't like Nickelback but they actually have 1 or 2 songs I like. All the bands in that list do...except one...

If we're going to start naming favorite modern rock bands that aren't in the list I would probably go with Charm City Devils. Their first album was more of a sleaze rock style but they've been modern rock ever since.

I would've chosen them. Almost every band up there that I'm familiar with, I dislike, hahah.
Coldplay has some pretty good songs. One of their albums was produced by Brian Eno, which is cool.

Yeah Disturbed would have been my pick as well.

I'm a big fan of Shinedown, so they got my vote.

I would've picked Disturbed as I have 2 of their albums. Seether is another. I have 1-3 songs by 4 bands on this list, but that's it. I don't have any albums.

The only bands on this list that I don't have anything by are Hinder, Chevelle, Rev Theory and Coldplay.

And the only one I can assuredly say I will continue to never own anything by is that last band.

I think I have all the albums by Shinedown and Buckcherry.

I've noticed that we rarely agree on what we love, but we agree on what we hate!!

I'm going to remove Puddle of Mud as they had a couple of not hideous songs but then you are left with the house bands for the nine levels of hell!

Now that you mention it, I think you're right.

Three Days Grace should also be on there IMO.

I see Disturbed as more of a modern Metal band than Rock band.

Of this group, it would be Coldplay. Not for their last three efforts though. I like everything quite a bit through "X&Y", after that, not so much! I would have voted for someone like say Taproot, if they were in this grouping.
