That Backseat Driver album sounded like something I might like so I looked for it on YouTube. I found one live track that was poorly recorded but it still sounded like something I'd be interested in. I need to see if I can find it elsewhere.

I found one of those Perris Recs. samplers at a church rummage sale (!) a few months ago (of all places!)... I thought I'd scored cuz it had dozens 'n' dozens of obscure bands listed on the sleeve ... but yeah, only a handful of the tracks were full length.... the rest were one minute (or less) clips, which became irritating almost immediately (it was like listening to someone spin a radio dial!) so I chucked it.

Yea, that's what these are. 2 discs with only a handful a full songs. The rest are just 1 to 2 minute clips. I'm going to sharpen the edges and throw them at squirrels like ninja stars.

I'm going green. Why throw them into a landfill when I can weaponize old cds and make 'em into something useful. And I can use the squirrel pelts to make a small fur coat for one of my daughter's dolls. Win-win.

So I was minding my own business watching MLB Central and this band called The Head And The Heart came to the studio. They talked a little baseball then played the single off their new album. I guess I must be in an "indy music" mood or something because I also remembered that earlier this summer I saw the band American Authors on this show too. Just bought the Amazon download of both.
