Nah, I checked Ebay and while it's generally going for more than a regular CD, it's nowhere near $475.  More like $20 or so.

I don't like adding "false alarms" to my homeowners insurance so I check out stuff like this...

And the second one especially can be had for a song; the S/T seems to be what people are after. But even then there are some sellers offering it for less than $10 including shipping. Doesn't sound like a good investment to me. I'll hang on to mine and see if it becomes more valuable in a few years.

I would have to check, but I don't think I paid more than a sawbuck a piece for mine.

The most I've paid for any CD is around $30.  But that was for an OOP cd that I know will never get re-pressed so for me it was worth it.  

I just checked and even now more than a decade after I scored it from Ebay, Radio Stars' "Somewhere There's A Place for Us" looks to be going for an average of around $20 and most are offered for about what I paid once you include shipping.

EDIT:  Have we ever had that topic before?  What's the most you ever paid for a CD?  Or, How did you acquire your Holy Grail CDs?

Some I bought off Ebay but others I got directly from the band themselves when they weren't even available on Ebay.

I think we might have; many moons ago. The funny thing is, the three CD's that usually fetch the most coin on the bay or amazon, were all gifts from my wife.

I'm checking it out on Spotify right now. HUGE sonic improvement over the original release, and I think this original sequencing works better as well. It virtually sounds twice as heavy, and the vocal is much clearer (the original mix of the vocal has always been a bit grating to me). Certainly worth a purchase. Props.
