"C.H.U.D. II: Bud the Chud" (1989)
Two high school lame brains need a science lab project so they steal a corpse from a military research lab. Unfortunately the stiff is part of a top secret experiment involving the C.H.U.D. enzyme, which means he eventually wakes up with a taste for human meat. Soon their small town is overrun with pale faced zombies who act like the Three Stooges. This flick has a rep as one of the worst horror sequels of all time and now i see why. This irritatingly loud, unfunny "slapstick horror comedy" has nothing to do with the original cult classic and is a "sequel" in name only. AVOID!!
I liked the first C.H.U.D. and know I saw the sequel. I just don't remember anything about it except not liking it much. I guess this means I won't foolishly revisit it.

^^ Yep, I'd been avoiding CHUD II for years due to its terrible reputation, but when it showed up on the freebie "TubiTV" channel I figured "Ehhh, what the hell," haha.
The first CHUD is a stone cold cheesy horror classic..."II" isn't worthy to carry its jock strap!

Yeah I remember picking up CHUD II in a video store and watching it with my friend when I lived in TN. We both loved CHUD but when we got done with II we looked at each other and went "WTF?!?!? This had nothing to do with CHUD."

Legend has it that CHUD II was originally pitched as a possible "Return of the Living Dead" sequel but it got rejected, so another studio picked it up, shoehorned in some quick CHUD references and passed it off as a CHUD sequel.
It does feel more like a "ROTLD" follow up at times so I can believe that.

Except that I like the ROTLD series. Chud II just plain sucked. You nailed it in your writeup, "irritatingly loud. unfunny..."

Watched a bunch of episodes of the Eric Andre Show on Hulu, then I watched Scorsese's The Last Temptation of Christ.

"Army of Darkness" (1993)
In the third installment of the "Evil Dead" saga, our undead battling hero Ash is stranded in the 1300s. Before he can find his way back to his own time, he'll have to recover the Necronomicon and then help a castle full of knights fight off an invasion of Deadites led by an evil version of himself! "AoD" is less horrific and more of a slapsticky action comedy than the previous "Evil Dead" flicks, but it's still a stone cold, endlessly quotable hoot. Hail to the king, baby!

"Delta Force 2: Operation Stranglehold" (1990)
The Mighty Chuck is back in this belated sequel as head Delta Force butt kicker Scott McCoy, and this time he's in South America to take down a massive cocaine operation run by perennial b-movie villain Billy Drago (at his slimy best). This flick spends waaaaay too much time on set-up (and runs at least 20 minutes longer than it needs to as a result) but eventually it gets down to serviceable shoot'em up/blow'em up business. "DF2" is certainly not top drawer Chuck but it's not his worst effort, either.

"Hundra" (1983)
A fierce woman warrior - the last survivor of an Amazon tribe - ventures into the world of Man for the first time to seek revenge and also to find a suitable mate. Essentially this Spanish/Italian swords and sorcery flick is a female version of "Conan the Barbarian." Laurene London, who plays the title character, is certainly nice to look at but she can't act her way out of a wet paper bag, so after a great opening battle sequence, the movie simply wanders around in circles for the next 90 minutes. Avoid!

"Cyborg 3: The Recycler" (1995)
In the third flick in the "Cyborg" saga, our heroine "Cash" is pregnant with the first cybernetic baby (?) which makes her an attractive prize for a sleazy robot-part scavenger (Richard Lynch) and his private army. The previous "Cyborg" movie starred a young Angelina Jolie in the title role and it was actually pretty good, but this ultra-cheap follow up (which replaces Jolie with Khrystyne Haje of the '80s TV sitcom "Head of the Class") is just junk. Avoid, delete, ignore, destroy.

"Bad Taste" (1987)
Four klutzy commandos take on a town full of aliens who've come to Earth to harvest humans for use as fast food on their home planet. Peter "Lord of the Rings" Jackson's almost-plotless directorial debut is essentially an ultra-gory home movie, made on a shoe string budget with a cast made up mainly of his friends and family, as an excuse to show off a bunch of creatively sick splatter effects. It's dumb as a box of rocks but it definitely lives up to its title! As the old saying goes, everybody's gotta start someplace...

Yeah, his zillion dollar LOTR/Hobbit films are not my thang, either.
I'd never seen this one (or "Meet the Feebles" which is next on my list) so till now the "earliest" P.J. film I'd seen was "Dead Alive."
I do quite like his "The Frighteners" w/Michael J. Fox, tho. I think that was his first "major studio" film.

I LOVE Meet The Feebles. It's wrong on so many levels. And I think it's funny as hell. But I have a warped sense of humor so take that with a grain of salt.

I think it's become pretty obvious over the years around here that my sense of humor is demented as well.

That was the lamest Treehouse of Horror yet IMO. They've been getting worse every year but I thought this one was really dumb. Hell, the final story was some sort of Bond spoof; it wasn't even horror.

I agree. Any more they just seem to go through the motions and try and spoof whatever current popular films are out. I did like the one about Lisa's imaginary friend and I thought the couch gag was decent.
And kudos to them for reaching 600 episodes. Quite a remarkable feat.

It's a shame. I used to really look forward to the Halloween episode every year because some of their spoofs were great. Like "The Shinning".

A new "mockumentary" from Christopher Guest premiered on Netflix over the weekend. Really funny stuff. I was laughing my butt off. If you liked his past efforts (ie Best in Show), you'll find something to like here.
