Something else that bothers me is that WWE gives people the STUPIDEST names! I know they do it to own trademarks but why not call Joe Hennig by his name? Michael McGilicutty? And who names a kid Roman or Neville or Bray? NO ONE! The names are stupid. Even Charlotte should be called "Ashley Flair". Bray has a good character so it might be a little weird calling him a Rotunda but Bo Dallas is his biological brother and it is never mentioned that he is a Rotunda. Dolph Ziggler? Who names their kid Dolph? I'm glad Somoa Joe is being allowed to keep him name and from what I understand James Storm is keeping his as well.
Yeah, they gave Storm a lot of concessions. Unlike Joe who will be in NXT indefinitely, Storm is guaranteed to be brought to the main roster soon.

I'm watching the Navy/Houston game and the Navy band just broke out with John Cena's entrance music. The only reason I recognize it is because every time he comes out to that tune, half the audience is singing "John Cena suuuuucks..., John Cena suuuuucks..."

Check out this promo from Chris Jericho circa 1999:
Two things: 1) Most of Jericho's speech sounds like it could have been done last Monday on RAW; it so accurately describes the current state of the WWE
2) Listen to what The Rock says; no way would that ever fly in today's PG13 WWE.
Two big examples of why WWE sucks so bad now.

I was actually thinking about that Jericho debut the other day, and how that put-down promo would actually suit today's WWE much better. Excellence is excellence! We need a new Chris Jericho to save us.

One other thing about that debut; I miss JR. He had a way of injecting some realistic-sounding emotion into his commentary unlike the robo-announcers they have now.

I'm 15 minutes in to tonight's Raw and I can't handle it anymore. I'm switching to my new Blu-ray collection of Gotham Season 1.
This show just totally sucks now.

Agreed, I watched only about 5 minutes. The highlight were the first 5 minutes of this:
Then after that (before New Day was even done) it was time for MNF.

Watching RAW and for a brief moment they had me. I'd been reading some blogs that said Vince was going to try to make RAW more like NXT after a survey he'd sent out came back overwhelmingly in favor of NXT over RAW.
So we started with this new lame "League of Nations" bragging about how they're better than any other 4 men when out came Bray Wyatt and his guys. And I thought we'd have a great heel vs heel feud starting up.
Nope. Typical RAW. Suddenly out came the Dudleys and then Reigns, Ambrose and the Usos and we went right back into the typical RAW opening formula.
Dammit. The Wyatts vs this stupid League Of Nations group could have been epic. But as usual, creative fumbled the ball.
EDIT: And this opening match got even worse. For one thing, the Wyatts were the first team eliminated. And to top it all off, guess who was crammed down our throats yet again? Yep, Roman "I have the dumbest finisher since the People's Elbow" Reigns. Blecch. What a wasted opportunity.
They teased something possibly interesting about Charlotte and Ric Flair otherwise I'd be popping in "Gotham" again.

I will give WWE Creative credit for getting one thing right.
I really, REALLY, HATE Tyler Breeze!!!! I hate the whole "selfie" craze so his heel gimmick sits right in my hatred wheelhouse. I wish they could ignite that same amount of feeling for the rest of the roster.

Agree with you 100 %. But I didn't watch, I read the 411mania recap instead this morning (opting last night to watch Twilight Zone on Netflix, I was in a "Time Enough At Last" and "Night Of The Meek" kind of mood and those were much better than Raw). When I read the re-cap I saw the Wyatt's came out and I thought the same thing! Heels vs heels! Would have been very cool. And superman punch is stupid. Like Jim Ross says, they need to bring back time limits and RULES. In my old rule book from the 80's a fist is grounds for a DQ and now this guy uses it as his finishing move? Not only is it dumber than the People's Elbow, it is dumber than a Hogan leg drop!

I finally watched last week's Impact and I gotta say they have a ton of wrestling in a 2 hour period. And while they are doing the World Title tournament there are no hokey skits or interviews. They get down to business. Anyway, I saw the best match I have seen in a LONG time and it was very unique. Gail Kim VS. Tigre Uno. Fast forward to around 2:30 and check it out. However, the whole tournament is a bit predictable as they continue to cram Matt Hardy down our throats. I am kind of hoping for Eric Young or Bobby Roode vs EC3 but it just ain't gonna happen.

Yeah, that is too bad. I was hoping for a little more than him doing a couple of jobs in WWE but it looks like that is it.
I found this old promo with Al Snow & Kane. Good stuff, I miss Smoky Mountain Wrestling. Strange thing about it is I grew up in Knoxville around this stuff and never went to a match. High school gyms were beneath me I guess because I went a ton of WWF matches when they came to UT at Thompson Boling Arena. Wish I would have gone to some SMW events they had some good stuff. This is pretty hokey but it isn't any worse than what goes on now.
And the "Man under the sheet".

Watching RAW with VKM calling out Reigns after Reigns beat up his son in law last night.
How great would it be for VKM to turn on HHH? Of course that won't happen. They could do a whole angle about VKM being jealous that NXT is more popular than RAW so he turns on HHH (the head of NXT) leading to a WrestleMania showdown.

I just clicked through an intesting slideshow of wrestlers who got "real" jobs after their in-ring careers were over. The most interesting one was Ivan Koloff who is now an ordained minister. And remember Gangrel? He's a porno producer. Oh, and Tito Santana is a Spanish teacher.

Justin Credible works at Olive garden as a chef, Ian Rotten works at Taco Bell*, and I hear Shane Douglas is/was a manager at Target.
*I don't know if he's preparing food at Taco Bell or not but I'm not sure I'd want food prepared by this:

The Godfather owns a strip club in Vegas, and from what I'm told, enjoys discussing his wrestling days with patrons.

What's almost as funny is that that looks like Santino he's wrestling. Santino has a handlebar mustache tattoo? Talk about getting into character.

Wow, what s surprise.
Apparently Big Show is a face again since he just got attacked by the Wyatt Family on RAW. I used to think Flair held the record for flip-flopping but Big Show is far worse; he flips between face and heel about every 3 or 4 months.
