Well let me say that at the dawn of the 70's their were only 2 bands that mattered. Black Sabbath and the Stooges.
A generation of kids took liberally from Black Sabbath and touches of the Stooges, those generation of kids were the Heavy Metal bands that emerged in the late 70's and early 80's
While a generation of kids took liberally from the Stooges and touches of Black Sabbath, those generation of kids became the Punk bands of the late 70's.
Iggy Pop and the Stooges are the godfathers of Punk and Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath are the godfathers of Heavy Metal.
Now stop sitting there and get yourself copies of Raw Power (1973) and Fun House (1970).
Those two records particuarly Raw Power are the most powerful explosive wild hard rock albums of all time. Listening to raw power is like an atomic bomb going off inside your head!

Bunch of old fogeys, although that trio is rather entertaining but not as entertaining as those 4 thugs from Detroit.

So Shemp replaced Curley, is that how it went? scratch

by the way "Fun House" is the only album from what I consider the Psychedelic era (66-72) that is so far ahead of it's time that I don't have it in my proto metal and psych play rotation. I had to put them with the punks or they just blow everybody else from that era away.

Scorpions - New Generation

- I know that this a fairly new track, but have you listened to the main riff? That is heavy as hell, in all standards! - That riff could compete with Pantera any day.

Young man, I was actually leading you along some Seinfeld dialogue from a episode called "The Suicide".

You are a literal fount of metal knowledge but you need to expand your horizons! No life is complete without pointless but pervasive Seinfeld knowledge!

Wink

Fogey = Old boring person

Old boring person = Watch Seinfeld

You do realise Seinfeld is one of the most pointless shows ever created. A vast wasteland of non-ideas and missing plots!

I'll keep my life thank you. Cool
