New Spock's Beard coming in August. Here's a new tune.

Should be another great album!

I really loved Spock's Beard during the Neal Morse years...TKoS, BoD, DFN....all brilliant albums.

I do not care for post-Neal SB, nor do I care for Neal's solo Prog albums.

Neal's first two more pop solo albums are fantastic.

I have remained a fan of Spock's Beard post-Morse. I do enjoy Neal's stuff, but occasionally it gets too church-y for me, you know.

The guy is an amazing talent, though. Seems like most albums he's involved with are written from the ground up in just a few weeks. It's crazy. Contrast that with a band like Linkin Park who do a year of pre-production and end up with 30 minutes of music, watching Morse and those he writes with is pretty great.

Dude is a genius, no doubt.

Still haven't totally warmed up to Spock's Beard.  Each album I've listened to i end up enjoying about 1/3 of it and the other 2/3 irritates me.  But I'll keep plugging away at it, there are some bands it has taken me 20 years or more to gel with, I'm a patient guy.

One of the things that bugs me is they are a little more "American sounding" than what I generally gravitate toward.  When it comes to prog i'm definitely an anglophile.  More Genesis and less Kansas...and Dream Theater (shudder).

*No, I'm not dissing Kansas, excellent band, but not high on my list of progressive rock acts, though they would be high on my list of American Rock bands.

Yeah, they're definitely more American sounding...I know what you mean.
