I "get" that most of you won't understand. Or call me a non-conformist for the sake of being a non-conformist. But the older members of this board will remember my respect for someone that lived life on his own terms - regardless of how disgusting. And, for that, GG will ALWAYS have my respect. Sling some mud.

Never heard of him until now. He was well-spoken, I guess, and had strong convictions. That being said, I'm glad he's dead.

This interview seems vaguely familiar, like I stumbled upon it back in 1993. What can you say about this, it's ridiculous. There are plenty of non-conformists who can be articulate, but this is a circus. It's not shocking that he was found dead four days after the interview. Probably apropos, as it was God's way of mocking his behavior. Time for you to go... Having said that, what an interesting psychological study he would have been.

Are they shaved or all natural ?
My take on the guy was that the presentation didn't quite match the sincerity unless somebody was watching.

A real piece of work, I did my best to ignore his existence and the little I know about him is all I need to validate being glad he is dead.

I would love for the OP to explain why that guy is a hero of his. GG was a total asshole and deserved to die. He should have died in prison while being gang raped over and over again. A guy tgat brags about f*cking 12 year old kids on stage, and he's a hero!?!?

I'm not sure that being a slave to your addictions constitutes 'living life on your own terms'. GG Allin reminds me of Niklas Kvarforth except Kvarforth has a real talent to go with the douchebaggery.

Yup, I'm pretty sure that Adolf Hitler lived life on his own terms too.

That's a good point.
I'm just glad he's not here today with social media the way it is. So many young people in society seem more lost than ever and some are already resorting to violence. Add to that this ball of hate recruiting through social media. Yikes!

I've seen his high school year book photo. Very complex and troubled soul destined to die. He wanted to die on stage, and told people he was going to do it - announce the very concert.....real bad news. Dee Dee Ramone tried hanging with him...but Dee split -cops etc -
Also - his photo of him dead in the coffin is sad too.

Watched the doc on GG...
You really get the sense that something warped the hell out of him. There's weird and creative and then there's just "imploding in the public eye," and he seemed to be the second one.

You guys [and gal] are so sensitive. My only point was he answered to no one. I sure don't agree with throwing poop at people, etc. But I have yet to meet a single person in this life that was not a slave to another person[s] - family, creditors, Jesus, whomever. That, to me, is real freedom. Like it or not.

I thought we gave you the reaction you were looking for. Were you expecting more venom? Less? Dude seemed like a loudmouth jerk to me. Not sure what more reaction I can muster for that corpse.

I have another perspective. He became a slave to living the image he wanted to portray and for others to perceive. When this isn't shocking anymore, move on to the next thing and so on. I can see your point, but it is NEVER as carte blanche as you are trying to make it out to be. IF he didn't grow and hunt for his own food, he was slave to the grocery store. If he owned his own home or paid rent, he was slave to the federal government and the landlord. If he didn't ride to gigs in a horse drawn wagon, he was slave to the oil companies. If you are going to call something "real freedom", you cannot pick and choose the parameters of what it entails.
