| people are putting down Gene Hoglan, who was in Dark Angel as early as 1986, so i guess that means i can put down Dave Lombardo without breaking the thread theme.
if not, put me down for Steve Ashiem of Deicide. _________________

if not, put me down for Steve Ashiem of Deicide. He started in '86 but his best work was in '91 and '95.

| I'm going to have to go with Mike Portnoy on this one. His drum solo on Live In Tokyo knocked me to the floor when I heard it over ten years ago. Ever since then he ranks as my favorite drummer of all time. Dave Lambardo, Ted Kirkpatrick, Ed Warby, and Vinnie Paul are also on my top 10 list. | |

| Gene Hoglan blows them all way. The man is ridiculous behind the kit!
Also, a very underrated drummer is John Tempesta from White Zombie. He did Testament's The Gathering and First Strike Still Deadly, too. He's awesome! But no one knows who he is. |

He also played on Exodus' Impact album. He did the last Helmet album, too, I think. He's done a lot of session work after Zombie, but he's far better than he ever let on while in White Zombie. |
