| I don't have any of their albums, but the stuff I've heard from Atheist really impressed me. Real technical sounding. Also, good call on Suffocation. |

I used to have it on cassette back in the day. I need to replace it onto cd though - as I no longer have my old cassettes. KICK ASS album!!! |

| I find the Autopsy album art to be disturbing, even moreso than cannibal corpse. |

I rarely listen to much death metal any more though. I grew bored with it. The vocalists and songs all just started sounding the same to me. +1 I like emotion in vocals and death metal is just blah to me and i agree most of the songs i cant tell a part. There are a few bands i dig though Six Feet Under (No blast Beats) Divine Empire (If u havent heard these guys check them out) Goatwhore (pretty decent)

I've only heard one song from this band - but I thought it was cool! They are gonna be here with Exodus and Warbringer this month - so I might pick up their latest album at the show. |

alot of the goredeath bands have art that's too offensive to post at a forum such as this... disturbingly violent porn covers. bands like Splatter Whore, Fecal Corpse, Sikfuk, XXX Maniak etc. i won't post them here out of respect to the christian guys, but you can view them at rateyourmusic.com. _________________

| Speaking of Death Metal I just reviewed the new DISCERN. It was cool to hear some straight forward, old-school death metal untainted by the melo-death or core factors. Had a bit of a thrash influence on a few songs though. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| My favorites are Morbid Angel, Obituary, Cannibal Corpse, Death, Possessed, Old Funeral, Carcass, Autopsy, Deicide, Nile, The newer Behemoth stuff, Atheist, Massacre. There are also some bands that claim they are a Deathrash, bands like Sarcofago and Poison(ger) that I like as well. Also early Sepultura. |
