I thought the Cults' first LP was great - Ian / Billy those spooky U2 type of guitar riffs - lyrics - floaty - but ELECTRIC - that was a huge jump into the fast lane. "Wild Flower" BABB / BABB / BABB ( guitar chords ) Hey you....your a wild....honey child....I'm outta control..... They were a very wild - inovative band - every release !

They were called Southern Death Cult, but they never released a full LP under that name, only some singles and a compilation. They changed their name to The Cult and their first studio album was Dreamtime in 1984, followed by Love in 1985. The released Electric in 1987.

Love was better than either Dreamtime or Electric so they fit perfectly into this thread

They were also briefly called Death Cult in between, releasing one EP

Going just by full length CDs , I think Agent Steel's Unstoppable Force is better than Skeptic's Apocalypse.

Kyuss-Blues for the Red Sun was a massive improvement over Wretch in that it almost sounds like a different band. Though Fear of Tomorrow was a great album, Terror Squad was more memorable. Killers has a better production and better songs than Iron Maiden The Age of Winters was a good debut, but Gods of the Earthwas a little better. Though most favor Paradox'sProduct of Imagination I prefer Heresydue to the stronger songwriting.
