Apparently it came out in May last year. I already have all The Angels albums on CD so I mainly got it hoping that some of the earlier stuff had been remastered or remixed or whatever because the early albums sound like crap. Luckily for me, they've evidently done something to them because everything on here sounds great.
As an Angels aficionado, if you don't have anything by the band I think this is a great, comprehensive collection and probably all you'll need.
You can get this 3-disc collection from Amazon for about $20 ppd.

I'll keep an eye on that one. As far as The Angels go, I'm more familiar with other bands covering their songs than the originals, but I wouldn't mind checking them out.
As an aficionado, would you say all their output over the years has been consistent, specifically on those 3 discs? Did they go through any style changes over the years, especially in the 80's where they were over-produced and maybe keyboard saturated?
I don't like when hard rock 70's bands tried to transition to the 80's and got too slick, know what I mean? I'd hate to buy that set, then say, find out only Disc 1 of early material is worth a darn.

The Angels have always been hard to pigeonhole. Sometimes they sound like AC/DC clones and other times they sound like a heavier version of Springsteen. They've never been afraid of keyboards but they use piano and organ as opposed to the synth-drenched sound from the 80s.

I've been listening to a playlist that someone assembled on YouTube. There's some good tunes in there, but I'm not sure I dig them enough to justify the purchase. Some of it sounds a little "80's new wavey" for my tastes. I dunno. I'm not completely turned off that hits collection, but I'm not completely sold on it either. It'll go in the "maybe" category for now.

Today I got to do something that I haven't been able to do in a couple of years (yes, I said YEARS!)... visit a real, live, honest to frickin-Gawd RECORD STORE (remember those?)!!
... I had to visit my company's main office for my annual review today. I don't get out that way very often anymore so when I passed a hole-in-the-wall mom & pop record shop (which I last visited in probably 2012 or so) naturally I had to stop in for a peek... and I am glad I did. A few minutes of scrounging and I came up with these:
Tora Tora - Surprise Attack Helloween - I Want Out! Live (I haven't seen this on CD in... well, ever!) Whitesnake - Good To Be Bad

I'm planning to hit Rockaway Records in Silver Lake this weekend, haven't been there for over a year. I also need to go back to Record Surplus in Santa Monica.
