| Wow, how do you do that? I never spend that kind of time on one track. | |

| Over the years I've found that it's kind of pointless trying to decipher concept albums written in English by bands whose first language is not English. They generally are confusing. | |

| It says they've used a English professor to translate the story and lyrics. Whether they managed to convey to that professor the big idea behind the words is a different matter. - Dark Horseman wrote:

Sometimes I just let stuff sink in slow. It's easier to stay focused, too. Other times I'm just busy and kind of only have 20-30 minutes to listen to music that evening. This was a bit of both. Three times I've sat down with the album, with a glass of scotch and with about 30 minutes at hand. The second and third times I just didn't feel like moving forward, and decided to just re-listen to what I had already heard, to better understand it and to see if it's started to already grow on me. And to try and make sense of that journal thing that's in the book. | |

| I am on my second spin now and so far I like it. Hansi sounds great and it seems like typical BG to me. What is the "bombastic" sound that a few people mentioned? Is it the opening credits movie sound at the beginning? Or the layered choruses? I know I can easily look up what the word means but I want to know how it applies for our purposes here at HoM. Also, I agree with Eyesore, other than in the solos (obviously) the guitars seem a bit buried in the mix. I figured it was a concept from the way the songs are broken down on the back of the book, but even though I bought the deluxe edition I haven't read through it all yet. The cover reminds me of The Scary Door from Futurama | |

| For me, it's the ultra layering and the seeming movie score sound of the songs. Hard to explain but I know it when I hear it. | |

| I have finally gotten this album and I like it. It's different but I think it's good. Anybody know the story? I guess it's a concept album. I just got the cheap version and not the digi book which I heard breaks it down. | |

| Do you really care about stories? I only care about the old school speed metal sound I have been looking for in BG albums for a long time now. | |
