I have no idea, but I'm betting some of you have a handle on this. I'd like to know more. Fender, Gretch, Paul? Mellotrons even?

Lots of actual Hammond organ, mellotron, Fender Rhodes and some analog synth, plus vintage guitars (no active pickups) on Pale Communion.

I think some pagan/viking metal bands use old traditional instruments in their stuff, but I don't know if that counts.

Only one I can think of off the top of my head is Lanny Cordolas solo albums.I know he played a lot of odd instruments on them

On the book's front cover " Commando " - The Johnny Ramone story - He used some sort of old vintage guitar - a cheap one - one he could afford - From what I read, he bought it, and continued with it - into history - that f'n guitar held up big time !
