A Must Have Metal Classic

I have failed miserably with these kind of threads (Shadow Gallery and Spock's Beard) but I'm sure I can get tons of support on this one:

My first introduction to the King and I first heard it in a dark room during a thunder storm (can't think of a better introduction to King, can you). I LOVE this album, the erieness, the awesome guitar solos, and the ridiculously bad a** falsetto of King Diamond. I don't listen to much King Diamond anymore but this album (along with Them) still get a play on my radio.

His best album and a metal classic.

I think his best album was with Fate, and was named Melissa.

I meant his best solo album.

Its a tough call between this one and Conspiracy as to what is King's best solo CD. But this album is timeless and should be a primer to all new bands to illustrate what true metal is.

I pretty much like ALL of King Diamond's albums. "Conspiracy" however, is my favorite.

Yes a great album. Have it on CD and vinyl.

Conspiracy is one of the few I don't have, or never heard, I like Abigail II as well.

Conspiracy is good, however, I prefer Them (I like the way it ended better than the other one).

I think Them is the best. Voodoo is pretty good too.

"Them" is my second favorite right after "Conspiracy".

Both of these are metal masterpieces IMO.

every KD album is great. there isn't one that i don't like.

This one rules! My fave goes to Them as well.

I also prefer Mercyful Fate to King's solo stuff, but I do love ABIGAIL, as well as FATAL PORTRAIT and THE EYE

I really like Mercyful Fate too, but IMO King's solo stuff blows them away.

This is my favorite King Diamond album. I really like The Eye and Them alot as well.
