Bullet - Storm Of Blades

Bullet has a new album coming out next month - Storm of Blades.  I am sure it will be another great album of traditional metal that sounds like Accept crossed with AC/DC.

Sounds great! They always remind me of Accept or Vanize.

I love their brand of traditional heavy metal and I want to like these guys, but those vocals don't mesh with me. The music smokes and perhaps the vocals would grow on me, but I just don't think I've got that kind of time anymore. I either like it or I don't.

I dig the vocals.Im weird like that though.If a band has odd vocals it usually keeps my attention better than your regular "cleans" Haha

This one, I feel, was probbly an early morning news program - they light it up - big time !
I like a lot of their songs but have yet to buy a CD from them -

I've come to the conclusion that that's my problem with them too.  I have 4 or 5 albums by Bullet but I realized that I usually only spin them once and then never again.   I'm pretty sure it's the vocals.  The "Udo crossed with Brian Johnson" comparison is pretty much spot on IMO.  If he sounded like one or the other I'd probably like their albums more but somehow that combination of vocal sounds just doesn't click with me.

I dig the vocals, but I am a fan of Udo and Brian Johnson. Bullet always delivers quality songs and they are prolific.

I've always said they had an Accept feel Not sure who it was here that said they didn't. Now others are comparing them to Accept so I KNEW I wasn't f'n deaf!!

Bullet definitely has an Accept feel; the Accept meets Brian Johnson-era AC/DC describes their sound perfectly IMO.

I would think anyone who likes Accept would like Bullet.  Unfortunately for me, I can only handle UDO's vocals in limited doses hence my lukewarm reaction to Bullet.

That sounds about right. I'm in that same boat. Udo in limited doses, Brian Johnson too. I really do wish I could dig Bullet more. The music's killer. But there are other bands I'd rather listen to than forcing myself to like these guys, if that makes sense.

Love it certain bands have unique vocalists and Bullet does indeed just Sabaton does.

Yeah, Sabaton's vocalist is certainly unique but in a decidedly different way than Bullet's singer.

love Bullet's material. I dont think they have released a bad album yet so this is on my list.
