I now own four Metal Church discs. This is how I'd rank them:

1. Blessing in Disguise
2. The Human Factor
3. Metal Church
4. The Dark

I've sampled some of the others, but they don't seem as amazing as these. Except maybe Hanging in the Balance, but I made a decision that I'm not getting that abomination on my shelf (I'm referring to the cover art). Now that's a case where a digital copy might be in order.

Hanging is my second favorite by them, some epic tunes on it. Human Factor is my favorite.

All three are great, probably their three best, so no reason not to jump in.

That's pretty cool. I own all of those but if you happen not to, that's an excellent way to get those 3 discs, essential to any collection.

Interesting. I still need to buy Masterpeace to complete my discography but, man, this album is impossible to find. I hope it gets reissued soon.

I did pick up an interesting bootleg, weight of the world tour 2005 - live in germany, during my last trip to Paris.

Anyone else owns this bootleg? Sound quality is average but the album is a nice piece of collection, for a Metal Church freak.

Great band , still need to get into their stuff more seriosly ...

I bought it when it was a new release, didn't care for it, traded it away. A few years later, having a hole in my otherwise-complete Metal Church discog was bugging my O.C.D. so I re-acquired it, and it still stunk, so I traded it off again and took a hiatus from all things Metal Church till Mike Howe came back in.

WTF this turd is going for 50 bucks minimum?? I'm rich!

Yes it is selling for such high prices on eBay. If I am to order me a copy, it will easily cost me, along with shipment and taxes, not less than 75$.

When it comes to the live albums, I would rank the Dynamo DVD from '91, then the recent one with Mike, then the old one with David last only cuz of terrible sound quality.

I know some may scoff at This Present Wasteland in the top 5, but I just love that album. I got it as a new release back in 2008 and just played the shit out of it while I lifted weights in my parent's basement. I always thought it was cool too how they included the runner up covers as artwork in the liner notes. As for Masterpeace, I am giving it a fresh spin now as it has been a minute since I last played it. A few tracks in, and Wayne's vocals sound like someone mixed Udo and Biff Byford electronically and overdubbed it onto his. That made more sense in my head.

HITB is one of their best imo. Cover art sucks though
