The last one was actually pretty awesome. Especially his scream at the end of the first chorus.

One cartoon that had awesome rock music is "Biker Mice From Mars", there was actually a soundtrack album for the show and the vocals were provided by none other then Jeff Scott Soto, here's the shows theme:

Like in the world of indy hip hop, this guy Wordburgler has an excellent GI Joe themed album called "Welcome to Cobra Island"...but his other albums are not all about GI Joe.
Haha, I was just reading through the threads and was happily surprised to see a Wordburglar reference in here. I know SJ, I think he and Edan are the most original dudes in Hip Hop.
Ok, back to the normally scheduled Metal for the day.
Edan is awesome. I agree, tons of creativity.

Agreed dude...I felt kinda gross reading it.
I am fairly sure that the guy who wrote that article would lump us, as metal fans listening to most of the same albums/bands that we did when we were 12 years old, into the same category he does the people who watch the same cartoons they did as kids.
It is kind of weird though. My dad, when he was my age, it's like I'm sure he had some nostalgia for stuff he was into as a kid. But it's not like he lived his life for it...like a lot of people do now (at times in my life, this would include me, too--GI Joe, my favorite movies from my youth, etc).

I love both G.I. Joe and Transformers still(also love TMNT), can't wait to see Age Of Extinction this month.
Speaking of Transformers, that soundtrack for the 1986 film had some really good songs on it.

Christian metal band Xalt used to play this during their set and the singer would dance around and toss Zingers out in the crowd.

That is a catchy tune isn't it? That Gary Hoey version is OK but I think I prefer the original.

Absolutely. And I would have loved to have seen Xalt's performance.

I haven't seen Hong Kong Phooey, but I definitely agree with you on Danger Mouse.
And, as is probably expected, someone's done a metal version of the theme tune.

I could never talk crap on any adult - male or otherwise - being into cartoons. I spent my day off watching old episodes of The Real Ghostbusters and that involved a big green jellyblob (not even its most absurd concept). I loved it and I feel zero shame for it. Why should anyone else?

What's up with all this "brony" My Little Pony nonsense? Friggin' stupid!
Women are becoming more masculine due to feminism and males are now considered second class citizens. Beta males (also known as manginas or white Knights) have fallen for the feminism trap and want to appear harmless.
Eh, while this is a weird way to voice the viewpoint, there are some really extreme and ugly forms of feminism out there that have taken root to the point that there are now "mens' rights movements" springing up as a counter, so SF isn't exactly WRONG, but I don't walk down the street and fear attack due to the state of my genitalia. That said, I used to fear raging bands of oversexed females (and hell, the odd guy, who can blame them) before I grew a beard to soften the raging power of my sex appeal. You know, you have to be responsible about that sort of thing.
Oh, and I read "mangina" and all I could come up with was:
I didn't start the fire. I'm just not keeping it from spreading.

Consistently awesome interpretations of songs. He even did "Let It Go" from Frozen and made it pretty frickin' epic. Sadly, his stuff doesn't tend to last past the novelty phase. I mean, great skill, but not so much by way of ear worms there.
