| Kill 'Em All is a cool album. Possibly the best thing Metallica ever recorded.
Savatage might have been the better band, but Sirens isn't a highlight in their discography.

both albums are debut albums of both bands and were recorded in the same year.

| As much as Metallica's hated, the brilliance of "Kill 'Em All" cannot be denied. | |

| The difference in style isn't all that huge. Speed, power, thrash, whatever you call it, didn't actually have a proper name back then anyway.
Both albums are raw and full of energy.

Both albums are raw and full of energy. Agreed, not that far apart.

| There were quite a few fine debuts in '83. The only one that comes close to giving KeA a real run for it's money (IMHO) is Mercyful Fate - Melissa | |

| Personally I like "disparate" polls like this. Provided that there is some connection between the albums in the poll, I find that asking people to choose between 2 dissimilar albums is more interesting than comparing two albums that have been compared to each other a million times on a million message boards. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Wait, is this even a debate. Kill 'Em All, no question.
I am not the biggest Savatage fan, but I do really like the first few albums. But still, few albums compare to Kill 'Em All. Very few. Maybe three. And those would be the subsequent three Metallica albums.
