Just published to youtube in Aug...by Larry Worley (frontrunner). Dude's got an new account! Still, IMO, the best Christian metal band that ever was. Really hoping for a comeback someday.
EDIT: after listening to this a few times what struck me as strange is how much of an exact duplicate of the studio version. In fact, it almost sounds layered. Then there's a quick fade out at the end of the song and back in to audience cheers. The whole song just sounds too good to be live from that era. I also think Worley does his "kick it!" in the beginning without being at the mic. Perhaps the audio was just too bad that he decided to layer it with the studio version? Either way I don't care because this is the first time in f*ckin' history that I got to see LIVE FOOTAGE of these guys.

Just because it's fitting, here's present-day Larry with a reflective song. It's really beautiful and his voice is still just as killer and unique as it was then.

His voice sounds like the guy from Fastway.

I have both albums. Whilst I enjoy Love Life, Fear Not are a better realised 'sound', with stronger songs overall.

I have and dig the Love Life and Fear Not records... I prefer the Fear Not by a smidge cuz it's got a little bit more of an "edge" to it. Love Life was a lil' too slick.

Oh yes. Keith's right, they were more slick--the band really had no idea where they were going which is why the Elefante bros gave them more guidance for the FN material. While Love Life was melodic rock, Fear Not was metallic hard rock. FN also had more hooks and memorable songwriting.
I knew you'd appreciate the above post Jetta; I had remembered you were a fan.
I listened to it again and it is dubbed, not question, but since this is the first time live footage has ever seen the light of day, I won't complain.

So I found all four mates on Facebook. Larry doesn't take friend requests or messages, but the rest have been addressed. Rod is a VP for Brewer Direct. Gary is in education. Chris still plays guitar for studio work. Larry...well, Larry's a mystery. BUT. This is the most fascinating thing I found when looking at one of Gary's photos from 1994. Here's a conversation between Larry and Gary, dated Feb 18. Holy shit they're actually thinking of this I'm gonna pee:

Yeah, I'm a stalker.
Actually I found all four mates on Facebook and was looking at Gary's photos. There was one of him from 1994 and what I pasted above were the comments to the photo. What he needs to know is he posted his phone number for all to see!
Don't worry, I didn't hack anyone.

Unfortunately, no one is getting back to me, although John Elefante wrote a short reply: "Word has the masters. John." The band mates have been silent, however.

Larry Worley has spoken. Received this email from him this morning.
Shay, Wow! I am overwhelmed at all this! In a good way. First let me apologies for taking so long to respond. I don’t get on YouTube as often as I should and I definitely need to respond more quickly in the future. Please forgive me!!! Your testimony is very moving and I am so glad that we were able to be a part of God’s Plan in and for your life. I am going to get together with the guy who puts these videos together for me and begin working on suicide sunshine. God is definitely moving in my life in a big way at the moment and not really sure what his plans are for me in music at this time but I know he is moving me back in that direction. Let’s keep in touch and if there are any questions that I could answer I will be more than happy to. My personal email is [omitted].
Be blessed in a big way, Larry

Fear Not was the best band I never heard. I discovered them a couple of years ago when a friend had the CD and made me a copy. What a great album, not a bad song on it. The only problem is it was released about 8 years too late. Would've been big in 86 or 87 I think.

Update: so Larry is a super nice guy but certainly takes his time getting back to me. Part of this is due to the death of a pastor at his church; I guess he's involved in the leadership there and had to step up. Anyway, here's what I've found out so far:
-Dude is a hardcore biker. -Lives in OK, works as a parts mgr for a heavy machinery reseller. -Still very, very faith-driven. -Has a wife and two grown kids. -Took a break after Fear Not and recorded a solo demo at Robert Sweet's studio. That's how he got the Love Trash gig. -The demo made it only to cassette (I'm wondering what kind of studio Sweet was running back then??). Quality is poor but Larry is trying to get it onto CD. -Still writes music and plays for church (still has his voice, too!) and keeps in touch with his former bandmates, save for Chris (who was a late addition and never really close to the three).
Rod Romero (bass) also accepted my friend request on Facebook; dude is funny and crass. Hasn't answered any questions but agreed that a Fear Not reunion needs to happen. Apparently it looks like they did this a couple years ago at a club of sorts, but all I found was the flier. Anyway, here's hoping Larry offers some real insight into the dying days of Christian metal and the death of the best Christian metal band ever.

Chris Sorensen (formerly Howell) accepted my friend request, right on. Turns out he's been playing with some bloke names Jared Blake--a commercial country singer who had a stint on The Voice. I'm not a great fan of contemporary country music, even when it has grittier rock vibes, but below you can see Chris in action. There's another video as well on youtube. Note that I'm not promoting Blake's music at all but just a little bit of "where are they now" for the hell of it.
SIDE NOTE: so through all this social media activity I accidentally happened upon a fellow named Vin (Vincent) Van Volt--lead vocalist of Barren Cross between State of Control and Rattle Your Cage (apparently an album was planned with him on it but never materialized). He had commented on Gary's page and I messaged him just to say, hey, great to know there's another Fear Not fan out there, and one of his photos caught my eye as he was onstage singing. So I googled his name. Fascinating stuff. I used to hate Fbook but now it's really starting to grow on me.
