This one has really flown under the radar. I didn't even know about it until buying another VR record and the recommendation came up. A top release of the year for me.

I went to Charleston,SC last night with some friends and caught them live with Seven Witches and Power Theory. All 3 bands were fantastic despite they played to about 10 people. I'm not sure who the singer is on Electric Punishment but VR have a 21 year old guy singing now who has a killer set of pipes!! I should have picked up the new cd but didn't since I'm supposed to see UFO in Virginia on Wed.

I like it but it's a step back from Razorback Killers imo.

^^^^ What he said.....
It's a pretty good album but not as good as Razorback Killers.

Same here! And.. No. Where. Near. Their early material.......just saying. I played it a few times not sure if I'd buy. I'm too picky when there is so much great music out there to spend my hard earned $ on. That said, they will always hold a legendary spot in my metal heart.

So is the 21 year old guy a tour fill in? Is Brian no longer their singer? I thought he was awesome!

I lost track of VR several albums (and apparently several singers) ago... their last album I got was Warball w/James Rivera on vox, which was what, 2 or 3 records ago now?

Rivera is the only reason I even bought Warball. I just lost interest after the first 3, Soldiers,Digital and S/T. That was most likely due to my evolving taste in music. Any recommendz on their 90's material? Anybody?

If you like DD and S/T then owning Welocme to the Ball and World of Mouth will do no harm. Myself, everything Carl Albert sang on is essential, with Welcome to the Ball being a desert island disc. An exeptional voice. This is also the reason why new music by VR doesn't do much for me.

I think he (Nick Holleman) is just a temporary fill in. He sounds great though:

I know most of the band's fans don't really care for it - but I have always kinda dug Cyberchrist.

Their live album Plug In And Hang On is one of my favorite live records.
