Any thoughts on the review or the song in general?

I'm a big fan of Iron Butterfly, so I tend to disagree on the notion that their other albums aren't worth seeking out.  Heavy and Metamorphosis are both really good IMO.  True shame they got labeled with the one hit wonder tag.  

I came to Iron Butterfly fandom through Slayer's cover on the Less Than Zero soundtrack.  Though it would be almost another ten years before I heard any of their other tunes.  A family friend was having a house warming party and I guess someone tipped him off that I loved music.  His all time favorite was Iron Butterfly.  Which at the time I found strange that somebody's favorite band was a One Hit Wonder group.  He insisted on playing me the album and damned if he wasn't onto something.  Great stuff.

I have my dad's original vinyl copy. And Homer and Marge used to make out to that song.

Don't forget the time Bart snuck the sheet music for it onto the organ at church, under the title "In the Garden of Eden" by "I. Ron Butterfly." (Rev. Lovejoy: "This sounds like rock and/or roll!")

That's all from the same episode. I thought it impressive that old lady at the organ could play it so well.

I've read where DJs would play the song because it gave them a long enough time to take a break, use the restroom, etc.

And do lines of coke and grab their payola money from the record company van parked out back.
