| I still need to grab the new one. I've only heard the old demos Tommy was putting on MySpace. Some of them were killer. |

| I got a promo of the new Prong (POWER OF THE DAMAGER) over the weekend. I'm giving it the first spin right now and it sounds pretty sweet to me _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Metal Hammer is clueless. I'd say they may have been an influence on Metal-core, that I can kinda see (though Prong are far less screamy and nowhere near as annoying as most metalcore), but not nu-metal. There is no hip hop influence in Prong's stuff and that's the first thing I think of when I hear the term "nu metal" _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| I doubt 95% of metalcore bands have even heard PRONG. The main influence for metalcore was PANTERA and maybe AT THE GATES I think.
The new PRONG samples don't sound too great to me. | |

| I'd say that the Cro-Mags were the earliest metalcore influence. I can see that some Metalcore kids were influenced by Phil's voice but Pantera's music was the original american groovemetal sound not metalcore, well at least the first three major label albums by them. | |
