Metallica's KILL'EM ALL turns 30!!

I was 4. I didn't hear this for another 5 years. My first Metallica was Ride the Lightening.

The first album I hear, thank you MTV, was the Black album. I liked it, but it wasn't really as angry or brutal as I thought it was gonna be. It took a couple of years until I heard Master of Puppets, and I was thinking "holy shit, these are the same guys?" When I finally came around to hearing Kill 'em All, I was floored with intensity and flooded with goosebumps. I remember feeling sick to my stomach during Whiplash. I felt like I was hearing hell's intestinal tract work its black magic. F*cking cool, I said. F*cking cool.

Then I heard Slayer...
