Unbelievable album! 1990 was an outstanding year for metal. Holy Wars...the Punishment Due contains my favorite Megadeth solo of all time and would easily be on a top 10 list.

It's such a great album that tear's comes to my eyes... Well, a lot of memories with this one. First time I saw Megadeth was on the tour they played the whole album..

Not near the feast that Peace Sells was, but still phenomenal.

My only real complaint is that Holy Wars is such a barn burner that once I'm done with that track everything else pales in comparison. Not by a lot, but still. Usually when I play this I start on Take No Prisoners and end with Holy Wars (I'm burned out a bit on Hangar 18 from Mtv overplay--fantastic song nonetheless).

I'm in the same mind frame. Peace Sells...But Who's Buying is their best and it had Gar. As much as I like Nick Menza, Gar was the man on Peace Sells. I can't imagine anyone else behind the kit on those first two records. I echo your thoughts on Holy Wars also, as it is just that epic.
