Really enjoying this one. Several songs have an Early Stones vibe. I keep playing "Eighteen Angels"; I dig the horns.
Awesome! I just got Sensory Overdrive in the mail earlier this week. I like it a lot. I understand there's no Ginger on this new one.
Yeah, no Ginger on this one but the guitarist is from Backyard Babies and I think Ginger's songwriting abilities helped improve MM's. I think these songs are more memorable than the usual album from Michael Monroe (except for Not Fakin' It).
But I don't think he'll top Sensory Overdrive. That was my album of the year that year.

It was Classic Rock magazines album of the year too. I agree, Ginger is a great writer who definitely elevated that album. It's funny, without looking at the credits, the first time I heard Superpowered Superfly, I knew it was a Ginger penned track. Also, I really like the songwriting on Silverginger 5 - Black Leather Mojo, but there is something about the production on that album that annoys me. It's a bummer because I really like the songs.

I'm a Ginger fanboy. Not quite to Eyesore's degree but I think Ginger is one of the best writers out there.

Man, this is some good stuff! Ian Hunter is 74 years old but he still writes great songs and his raspy, Springsteen-ish voice fits the music well. I know a lot of younger "artists" who could take a few notes from this old rocker.
