That's the same one I got when it was released back in June. Sorta surprised they still have those deluxe editions left at this point. Guess they aren't selling like proverbial hotcakes.
Yeah, I was surprised too. I actually scrounged around looking to see if they had any of the "regular" version hanging around cuz I really don't need all the extra crap in the box, but it was all they had and Lord only knows when the next time will be that I'll be near a store where I could pick one up, so I grabbed it.
I felt the same way. The bonus tracks are cool, but I could have done without all the other stuff thrown in the box. I would've been content with just a regular edition too. Still nifty that they threw all that stuff in and kept the price reasonable though.

You should let me know next time you're going to hit Rockaway or Amoeba, I live in between those stores in East Hollywood.
Will do. I'm sure I've probably passed Casa de SD on the many, many times I've gotten lost taking local streets to avoid the 101. I never learn.
I thought the Deluxe edition of the QR album was worth the few extra bucks. The bonus live tracks sold me. And the extras were fairly generous as these things go. No real use for them, but cool they were included.
Thought I better take care of this long time favorite before the prices started getting out of hand. Snoop Dogg did a remix version that is quite common but the original was getting rarer and pricier. Thankfully gohastings came through with the right version. Small miracles! " />

Hmmm...that Hundred Reasons is kind of interesting. Reminds me of another band but I can't put my finger on who right now. I do hear echos of Radiohead's "Creep" but that's not it. I hear some Nirvana too but that's not it either.

Tonight I'm one happy motherf*cker. Scouring the .50 bins at my Rasputin's, I scored three bucks of killer music:
Forbidden - Twisted Into Form () Suicidal Tendencies - Lights Camera Revolution Black Crowes - Amorica Drivin' and Cryin' - Fly Me Courageous I Mother Earth - Scenery and Fish Pride & Glory - s/t ( )
And of course I found in said bin the same Extreme CD I payed seven bucks for last week. Oh well.
Anyone remember Drivin and Cryin? I had completely forgotten about this band until I popped it in (I bought it because the name was super-familiar). Kickass stuff.

Along with The Coral and The Music, they're one of my favorite discoveries from my years living in England.

I did not realize the previous version of this was out of print. I've seen that Snoop Dogg version...laughed at the stupidity of it...and moved on. Wish I still had my old CD then. Ah well.

I've got all of DnC's stuff (I think Eyesore does too) and I've seen them live twice and they were much heavier than you'd expect.

Yup. Big fan. Although I'm not sure they ever did write a better riff than the one on "Fly Me Courageous." That one is timeless.

Yeah I actually decided to listen to the album without Fly Me Courageous just because that song is so infectious that my mind is focused on when it's coming on and when it came on...none of that was making sense, so instead I'll say I agree.

Big Drivin' and Cryin' fan. The Kevin Kinney solo stuff is also real good too. If you come across the CD5 for Build A Fire snatch it up - just insane live versions of several of their earlier cuts. And the best part is apparently they are from a show at a Six Flags park. Given the blistering nature of the performance that always cracked me up.
From gohastings " />
and this long time want from an amazon seller " />
and finally my local Target got in the 3 disc re-release which they have generously priced at five bucks. Tusk will always remain my favorite but this album has grown on me a lot over the years. " />
