Nine Inch Nails - Broken I wish more of Nine Inch Nails sounded like Broken and Pretty Hate Machine than the stuff they put out after that. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I've yet to hear this; heard it was their return to form. Agreed? I tired quickly of "identity-crisis-pop-Yes" and kept hoping they'd be themselves again.

| Fly From Here basically works as a sequel to the 1980 album Drama (another album without Jon Anderson). It sounds like Yes, mostly pop-centric with some progressive touches here and there. It's a good record, not essential but nice to have anyway.
If you haven't heard the 2001 album Magnification I'd recommend checking that one out as well.

| I'm a total newcomer to Yes (my punk past meant I never gave this stuff a chance), but I decided to give them a try as I've been loving some prog of late and I'm starting here I'm enjoying it, but it isn't blowing my socks off. | |

| It can take years for Yes to completely sink in. I think the album "Close To The Edge" is a good place to start...as long as you don't mind 19 minute opening songs.
FYI. "The Yes Album" is their third record, the debut album is just called "Yes".

Yeah, I saw that (after I started listening to it), I do quite like it and it's made me want to hear more.

| As a full record, 'Fly From Here' is not to the level of the older Yes stuff, but the suite is superb and 'Sad Night At The Airfield' in particular is just spectacular.
