| I was very happy to see Sebastian Bach on TMS shout out "Neil Young" in response to other Canadian artist that deserve high marks. The entire audience was dead silent, though, and even Trunk & crew stumbled a bit to comprehend this. Not sure why he's been blacklisted by some metal/rock genre fans but I would say he's canonical. His "Rust Never Sleeps" was a brilliant inspiration to a lot of punk and rock guitarists because of its raw energy and reckless distortion. Anyone agree?
Interesting trivia: Young was actually a fan of 80's metal and its guitarists.

| I like Neil with Crazy Horse much better than Neil by himself. I like him even better with CSNY. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I am a huge Neil Young fan and like all his eras, ok that early 80's synths period is actually pretty horrid, but for the most part like all eras of the man's career. | |

| Yes, he switched to pure shit mode in the 80's and even he will admit it.
I should've clarified that with Crazy Horse he was a different man, just aggression and reckless abandon. Love it.

| Love Neil Young. Buffalo Springfield and CSNY are my favorites, but also love his solo career and Crazy Horse albums.
My favorite overall Crazy Horse album is their first together; "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere" which is a truly brilliant album.
I also recommend checking out his solo acoustic concert "Live At Massey Hall, 1971" which is a stunner.

From what I understand, he "switched to pure sh*t" mode on purpose, in the hopes of getting released from a bad record deal. Very punk rock of him, I must say. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Ah, yes; I had forgotten about this, but it was really one album, Everybody's Rockin'. Geffen was interfering too much with his releases, lawsuits took place, Young won. Still, the other albums released in that decade were written with artistic intent.
