| I still buy'em. So do most of the folks here.
I don't really care if my collection has been "devalued" cuz I am not planning on selling'em anytime soon anywhoo. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| I buy them because I love owning a physical product, I could give a rat's ass what my collection is worth, because I do not plan on selling them. | |

| The thing that "KILLS" most cd sellers is this......They pay 30 bucks or more 5,6,7, or 10 years ago and want to get that investment back. Even after it may have been reissued or put up on Itunes. The "original pressing" doesn't really mean anything to me as far as any resale value. _________________

| I still buy CDs. I have no downloads. I have to have the physical product in my hands. Just the way it is. | |

| I like cds but i have started to download and it is nice to get the music right away without having to wait and, in most cases, cheaper. _________________ | |

| I buy cds and vinyl. I occasionally will buy a download if physical product is not readily available. My collection is priceless to me. | |

This right here! I even buy cassettes. Luckily, I'm not to hip on maintaining a reel to reel or I would buy those too.

| Sometimes I buy CDs, but usually I download stuff off Amazon or iTunes. The music is what really matters to me, not what format it's on. I have an old cassette player, so sometimes I settle for getting the album on tape if the CD is hard to find and/or expensive(like with Beau Nasty). | |

availability is a big determining factor for me now. If i cannot get the cd then its the mp3s. _________________

| I'm a big kid at heart and I love having 'a collection' (I'm the same with films and books). I really love vinyl though, just the feeling of taking out the disc and putting it on the turntable. I'm sure it's just nostalgia but I still get a kick out of it.
If I was really poor I'd have to sell my vinyl as that's actually worth something but CD's are just for listening to, although, sometime in the future when they no longer exist and people realize that they are missing something, who knows?

| I have hundreds of Cd's (and records and cassettes). I love having them and buy them to collect. I prefer to listen to them over downloads and love all the cool stuff and packaging that comes with them..yes, I read all that stuff. If it doesn't have a barcode upc on it its probably a bootleg..but so what. I have found some awesome stuff in bootlegs. I am not talking about bootlegs of stuff currently available (support the bands with your money) but things like concerts and oop albums and demo's. | |

| I do but it's just become more economical to download albums instead of ordering CDs. Heck, the last 2 SinCity albums I downloaded were only available that way. I still prefer CDs but I'm becoming more open to downloading an album because of the cheaper price and the immediacy of being able to listen to my purchase. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I still buy CDs, and I love finding CDs In the cheap bin. Due to being downloading/reissued. But I'm also not scared to drop some dollars on anything I want bad enough. But to worry about your collection as in investment. It's silly enjoy the music, you bought it for the music. Or was it for a a value? | |

| I still want the physical product and it sounds like I'm not alone! I love used CD shops; the problem is they are becoming a thing of the past. The only consistent place I can find stuff is on Amazon. | |
