I stayed away from this album for the longest time due to all the negative opinions. I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did.

First of my new Pretty Maids haul and so far it has almost paid for itself, great album! Would have listened to another one but I couldn't remember wich one was the next in anuual order (my mild ADD is pushing me to listening to them in order of release).



IMO a very return to form. Not anywhere near a rival to Burden Of Truth or Watching In Silence but close to Middle Of Nowhere and better than the last one (Delusions still holds the title of weakest CIIC album thus far). Ends with another grand ballad in keeping with Blood Of An Angel from Consequence. Also one song sees the return of the round that showed up on the first few CIIC albums and the last of the Savatage albums. Only complaint is the album is a tad too long (12 songs), could have trimmed some of the fat off this one.

Everything really did come together on this album. This has to be the best of theirs in the 2000s so far.

I think Clockwork Angels is their best overall album since Grace Under Pressure.

After cruising through their works, Roll The Bones and Test For Echo are definitely the low points..... very blah. I thought Counterparts was a great high point in between those two.


As an overall album... You are correct, there are a few songs off of Power Windows thru Test For Echo that I just do NOT like(Time Stand Still I'm staring at you!).
