| I recently got a bunch of vinyl from a store I found out about last year on a trip to Connecticut. I noticed that when I got home all of the vinyl that I bought from him looked pretty much brand new, not even a speck of dust, nothing. I was wondering is there any safe cleaning methods I can do myself? I'm always afraid to attempt to clean vinyl because I'm not sure what would be good or bad. I bought a few from another store while I was up in Maine and they didn't take as much care for them as the other guy did, but they still seem to play fine except for the crackling. _________________ | |

PRD, this is the approach I use. Works great!!!!!! http://daveyw.edsstuff.org/vinyl/S&VVC/ ...........and I made it from stuff that I already had around the house(except I did have to buy a steamer and I wanted new paint brushes, they were cheap.)

See there's your first mistake...buying iPods. I swear they are designed to fail just so you have to buy another. Not relevant to topic but I have to ask, what are the better mp3 players right now? I swore mine off but my wife needs a new one, and we decided no more ipods for this very reason.

I usually just listen to music off my external hard drives or off thumb drives in my car.

| I do miss my Creative Zen Touch, I had it five years, abused the heck out of it (by the end it looked like it had been to war!) and it always sounded brilliant. Then I got an iPod looked after it and got 18 months out of it! | |

| Yea I'm on my 3rd Ipod. My first one someone at worked dropped it on me while trying to "help" me. My other one I dropped I still used it up til a few months ago. It worked but every once in a while it would stop. Then I bought one off of my friend and it was working fine until recently. It freezes, and I recently just lost all the artwork for every album on my ipod. I don't know what to do at this point. I like the ipod I just wish it wouldn't have so many problems and take a little bit of a beating.
I've even had hard drives fail so mp3's will not last an eternity. I'm keeping my cds and the vinyl is just something thats actually fun finding for the hell of it. I'll never trust mp3s no matter how much I use them. _________________

Jag Panzer - Historical Battles Box Set (bad ass set!) Damn! I really want that set! You can get it, its available at http://www.hrrshop.de/JAG-PANZER-Historical-Battles-The-Early-Years-4-PICTURE-LP-BOX but its expensive and the shipping would just add more on top of that which really sucks. I wrote on their facebook page if any of these would be available for the US, this boxset and the re-release cds. Mark wrote me back saying he wasn't sure but was going to look into. That was a few weeks ago and I haven't heard anything. I'll give it some more time and see what he says. I want this and those damn re-releases. _________________

Got mine for $135 from a fellow distro buddy of mine I wanted to stock this box set in my distro but it was just to expensive to pick up wholesale when I wasnt sure if i would be able to sell them off. And High Roller no longer is taking label orders on them, so theyre running low on copies im guessing, so if you want it, you better order it direct from them soon. You wont regret it!
