Anton Lavey - Satan Takes A Holiday

So I saw this album in the record store and almost bought it just for the novelty factor. Ultimately decided not to (my novelty purchases only extend to about two bucks). But curious to what was on it.....



It's almost so horrible it becomes great. The rest is equally "good". Almost made me wish I bought it. I like to listen to it thinking of Satan somewhere face-palming himself over it.

Is that for real?

All too real, I'm afraid to say. I guess even the forces of darkness enjoy third rate lounge music. And I seriously almost bought the damn thing.

I've said it since Tate started rocking the clean head look - the dude's future is in the movies. I would buy a ticket to see him play Lavey. If Bruce Dickinson still holds the rights he should make that happen.

I'm not sure what's more frightening: the song, or the visions I have of ritual sacrifice with members in Hawaiian shirts or grass skirts.

I think that's what makes it so great. The visions it conjures up.

I'm not sure that even rises to "third rate." That is bad.

So this is what "the devil's music" is REALLY like.
