| Add this to the list of bands I've never heard until recently. My daily ritual after work is to youtube an album (preferably one I've never heard) while I'm unwinding. I've listened to four out of five of Forbidden's albums so far.
I really enjoyed Forbidden Evil, Twisted Into Form, and Distortion. But Green seems like their experimental album (like Megadeth's "Risk" album). It's good and heavy, but a huge departure from their prior 3 albums.
Tomorrow, I'm planning on listening to Omega Wave.

| I had Forbidden Evil in 2011 but lost it (sold it off knowing I had it on my computer til I lost it when my back-up drive crashed). I since then found it again at Half-Price Books along with Green (both $5.99) and now own both. I prefer the melodic thrash of FE, but still enjoyed Green. | |

Love "Forbidden Evil". Can't stand "Green".
Alvelais is an incredible lead guitarist.

| I like all their albums. Green is my least favorite while Twisted Into Form is by far the best in my opinion. I think Omega Wave was a great album and definitely was one of my favorites of 2010 | |

| I have all their cds. I don't mind Green. Twisted into Form is by far my favourite album of theirs. Favourite song is Step by Step. | |

| 'Omega Wave' has Russ singing in a lower register than on the earlier records but some really good songs. Lucky to have seen them at ProgPower last year. | |

| Saw them on tour a couple of years ago. Russ is still intense. With that said, I still think Distortion and Green both suck. | |

| Since Temple Of Blood and Uncle Sax both hate "Green" that means I have to listen to it now, I'll probably love it. |

| And I should add I saw Green at the used store one time for $4.99 and passed on it. Needless to say it was gone when I went back and have never seen a copy since. | |

| As best I can tell, the dislike for Green has to do with the industrial influence and the departure of the more melodic thrash style they were previously know for. Luckily for me, industrial elements are not a problem. | |

| And so I'm wrapping up Omega Wave, in the middle of the last song now, and this album is awesome. Hell of a comeback album, even if they did break up again. So far my favorite song are the title track and Hopenosis. | |

Actually, de, you probably would actually like Green. There is some proggy weirdness on that album.

I don't care one way or another about industrial elements (I think GEEZER - "Black Science" is a great album) but "Green" is just lousy and a chore to listen to all the way through. It has few hooks and not much of a real identity.

| Just a hypothesis. I had no idea (or even really cared for that matter) why people don't like Green. I didn't even know people hated it when I got it. I'm just glad I turned out to like it, otherwise I wasted $6. | |

| If you got it for 6 bucks then that's a real steal because it goes for big bucks these days I think.

I sampled a few tracks on Spotify and I have to agree with you. Whatever they were attempting to do on Green they weren't talented enough to pull it off. They sound aimless and confused. |

| I have all their albums except their last one Omega Wave. I've had it in my hand a few times at the local FYE, but put it back in favor of something else. Not sure why.
Like most others here, I enjoy most of their stuff. Nothing tremendous, but good solid melodic thrash albums, And also, like most here, I don't care much for Green either. To me, it just seemed like too radical a departure from what they had done in the past. If it was an experiment on their part, it failed. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| Bumping for info.
Any thoughts or opinions on their last album Omega Wave? I saw a used copy in FYE the other night and debated picking it up. I played a couple of tunes on YouTube and it sounded decent enough. Back to their "classic" sound and not whatever they were trying to do on the Green album.

| If you like their earlier stuff, you'll like Omega Wave. It sounds like a natural progression from Distortion. Anderson's vocals sound really good. | |

| I have all their older albums and while they aren't frequent spinners, they are good enough when I want something a little different from the normal suspects of the Bay Area thrash scene. If anything, I'll probably get it just to complete their discography. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was.
