Word of Mouth was released. And believe it or not, tonight is the first time I have ever listened to them, let alone heard of them. I'm jamming to the album on Youtube, and I'm really enjoying it.

Ministry of Fear is killer. Although overall I'd say it is worse than the three before.

Be prepared to want to seek out the rest of their discography. Great band and not a bad album yet IMO. Had a hell of a time tracking this down when it first came out.

It's not often that I find a band's page on nolifetilmetal where every one of their albums on that page gets a superior review. That's saying something right there.

Good album, sadly it would be the last for Carl Albert.

I also need to mention that there were several times throughout this album he sounded very similar to Mike Howe of Metal Church.

Excellent stuff, track down as much as you can. These guys and Metal Church define American power metal.

I remember when they released this album, they didn't have a U.S. record deal so they were selling a self-released version of it thru ads in metal magazines. I sent away for one and it came with a very nice thank-you letter signed by the entire band.
...then of course when Carl Albert passed away a few months later I went looking for that letter and I couldn't find it. It has since been lost to the ages.

I only ever found their debut. Despite going for big bucks on Amazon:
Quote :
5 new from $141.40 7 used from $40.00 1 collectible from $24.00
I got it from Movie Trading Company for $8.99 (during a sale).
Despite really enjoying it, I never sought anything else. However, I just rectified that by ordering:
Digital Dictator Welcome To The Ball Word Of Mouth
Just one week into the new year and I'm still buying way to much music. However, I will more than likely be going into truck driving by March which means my income will increase almost two fold. If that happens, I could keep my music spending where it is and still keep a budget. If not, then I will need to control myself better or feel the pain later.

My favorite VR album I used to listen to that album endlessly a few years ago. Best songs would have to be Thunder part 1 and 2 (it was a tribute song for Criss Oliva), Dreaming, Building #6 and All Rights Reserved.
I especially love the dreamy guitar sound on Thunder Part 1 and Part 2

Sadly, the world lost an immense talent when he passed away.

Didn't realize that first record was going for so much these days. I have an extra copy of it because sometimes I'm stupid and buy what I already have. Both times it was pretty cheap luckily. If anybody is interested in trading for it I'll dig them out and see that they are in good shape.
Just got Plug In And Hang On. Even better was that it rang up half the marked price. Looking forward to giving it a listen.

I was able to find one for $12 on ebay. So it is still possible to get it without spending too much if your lucky.

Always down for some new VR. Razorback Killers was one of my favorites from 2011.

A little over two years ago I got my second copy for about 4.00. The first one I got was maybe three, I think. Cool that the demand for it made it jump up some. I'd say it's the kind of record worth whatever you have to pay for it.
Now if I could only find the Japanese version of Word Of Mouth with the bonus tracks for a decent price.

Cool ! That's the first I heard of it. Hopefully it's on par with Razorback Killers which I thought was killer.

I rank Word 3rd amongst VR's catalog (behind s/t and Digital).
