Jag Panzer-Dissident Alliance You paid about $5.97 too much for that one. I've seen that album there everytime I went to the CD Source but always passed it up because of the lack of The Tyrant. However, I was well under my $200 budget so I went ahead and added it this time. Ult likes it so I'm sure it's not as bad as all that. It just doesn't have the awesome Harry "Tyrant" Conklin on vocals.

For $200, I could get quadruple the amount of CDs you get. It has to do with where I live. The prices I get my used CDs for are the best I can do around here. Most of those CDs would cost more if I ordered them due to shipping prices. There are very few places to get used CDs in my area and most of them are Half Price Books and Movie Trading Company and both very rarely have anything good. This music haul was a good one and I got several CDs cheaper than I would if I ordered from Amazon. Aside from Newbury Comics, I don't go to record shops anymore. I use to have more time (and patience) and could take a trip into Boston and spend all afternoon scouring the used bins. But I haven't been to Boston in probably a year, at least. I do most of my shopping online. If you search enough, you'll find great deals all over the place. Much better than the prices you're paying, even factoring in S&H.

| But it's not as much fun. Nothing I love more than the thrill of the hunt. I enjoy browsing through CDs and finding CDs I didn't expect to find. Yeah, I probably spend more on CDs than I should, but no online shopping ever replaces the feeling of finding those rare treasures. | |

I'm with you on this. Unfortunately my collector OCD and general cheap skatedness always drives me to find the lowest price I can. I'm the A-hole in the store on his phone checking the prices online. And as great as online buying can be, I still find lots of stuff in stores for better prices. Also its cool you support what remaining local places exist. That said..... I just read Ult's review of Dissident Alliance and with all due respect, he was being way too kind about the replacement singer... that dude couldn't carry a tune in a bucket, he totally ruined that disc for me. But hey, if nothing else it's collectible now and you got it cheap, so good on ya, matey. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Except when you find those rare treasures. Haha. Trust me, I used to feel the same way. Once you realize how much you're saving and finding the same kind of albums, rare gems included, then your perspective changes. I do wish I could find an online site that sold cheap singles. I've found a few, but they were all waaaaaay overpriced.
