Not diggin' this at all after a few spins. Too Goo Goo Dolls-y for me. On the trade list it goes.

What's on that 2nd cd? Is that a re-issue or something, because the version I have is only a single disc.

Curious to hear what you think of that PC69. At first I thought it was a big step up from the last couple but I spun it again today and now I'm not so sure. It's still decent but I don't know if it's any better than any of their other recent output.
You called it an Album of the Year candidate. Haha.
Yeah well, at least I'm willing to morph my opinions beyond "killer!" It's weird and I can't really explain it. Maybe it's because I went from listening to some more "challenging music" (for me anyway) like Von Grey and back to my "happy place" with PC69. But other than the songs that struck me the first time I listened to the album, this time the rest sounded like filler.
i have been through it a couple times and I enjoy it. I think it is a prime example of music being too loud these days though. The music just seems to bury the vocals at times.

Yeah, I guess it's a reissue. Second disc is just a live set.

From a lil hole in the wall "SPCA" thrift store.....
Still sealed for 50 cents
Thunder-"Laughing On Judgement Day"
I remember the song "dirty love" (somewhat) from back when, listening to this as I type and diggin on the Whitesnake vibe.

Holy crap, I love this! It's got the catchy, powermetal choruses of early Freedom call but the vocalist sounds more like the guy in Astral Doors/Wuthering Heights. I also hear echoes of "Songs From The Wood"-era Tull. And there are bagpipes!

I really dig that band. Took me a while to get into them, though. When they came out they were described as "the next Def Leppard." Took me a long time to get an album, but when I did...that f*cker sounded nothing like Def Leppard. I was bummed.
But I've grown to appreciate them. Great band.

I was patient and didn't try to hop on Ebay and end up paying more in shipping. It paid off!!! After putting in an app, I cruised down to Rare-Street Records and found:
Scorpions - Taken By Force on LP for about 6 bucks. That one has been really hard to find around here.
Now my Uli period of the Scorps is complete!

That album was hard as hell to find on CD for a long time too; it was a "holy grail" of mine for a long time. I finally scored it as a Japanese import several years ago. Of course, a few months later the damn thing was readily available in the US.

My copy of "Behind Closed Doors" came today. That's now the 4th Thunder album I have and while I enjoy them all I'm convinced they will never top "Backstreet Symphony".

I just got that one the other day. Brand new, like $4.99.
They have a lot of albums. I only have Backstreet Symphony, Behind Closed Doors, Giving The Game Away, Laughing On Judgement Day, The Rare, The Raw And The Rest, and The Thrill Of It All.

I've been wanting to snag one. Tank Crimes' website only has it to stream, that I can tell. Listened to it several times and it rules.
