Sure is. Lucky to find it pretty cheap too. Had it on the want list for a while. Killer stuff. From a very generous amazon seller (didn't realize the rarity of the two disc version till after ordering and seeing the other listings.) This was better than I expected it would be. Gonna have to dig out the debut and compare. Is the Blackeyed Susan release worth checking into ? _________________

It is, its has bit more of a Rolling Stones/Aerosmith vibe then Britny Fox did. I need to score a copy myself, my tape copy was lost years ago I've always like Blackeyed Susan way more than Britny Fox to be honest. I'd say the Stones/ Aerosmith vibe is accurate. At the time of it's release, the Black Crowes were all the rage and I think they were trying to hop onboard that bandwagon as well. Not that it's a bad thing. Dean switched up his singing voice a bit too, going for a lower register instead if the high pitched stuff he did in BF. It's not mind shattering awesome or anything, but a good solid listen all the way through. After Dean split from Britny, some of the guys in Blackeyed Susan used to hang out at Tower Records. We got to hear the album before it was released, blasting from a car stereo in the parking lot. So there's a nostalgic factor for that album too. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| I liked that Blackeyed Susan but I thought it was too long. Could've cut about five/six songs and had a nice tight record IMO. Electric Rattlebone is an awesome title for a record though. I'd say it's worth picking up. - Quote :

That is very cool. From the credits I had on Secondspin after the Ratt e.p. fiasco [img] [/img] [img] [/img] From amazon and finally able to bump these off the want list where they have sat forever. I still really love that Delta Rebels. I was worried it wouldn't have held up after all this time. Nope, still great. [img] [/img] [img] [/img]

That's the singer from Live, right? How is that? I really like early Live but with "Secret Samadhi" (or whatever the hell it was called), they just got way too pretentious for my tastes. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

You thought Secret Samadhi was pretentious? Man, I could kind of think that about Songs from Black Mountain, but none of the others. Anyway, Ed's no longer in the band. He's a huge douche, apparently, but this is a solid EP. His previous full-length is also good. If you liked the earlier Live stuff, I suggest you check our The Gracious Few. Live plus the lead singer of Candlebox. Great album.

This was a blind buy for me. Sort of. I called up a tune on YouTube when I was in the store, and really dug it. I expected something doomy. But it's all mellow, like gothic folk. Not at all what I expected. Haha. But it's really good. These guys are from Texas, but I guess there's a black metal band with the same name.

I recently saw their new video and liked what I heard. I think this band actually uses VV instead of a W to differentiate between the two.
