Some good ones already mentioned like Riders On The Storm and Suite Madam Blue. I actually once made a disc devoted to this phenomenon, it's like comfort music, junk food, some of the songs:
Aldo Nova- Fantasy Asia- Time Will Tell Billy Squire- In The Dark Great White- Rock Me 707- I Could Be Good For You Dokken- Breakin' The Chains Kingdom Come- Do You Like It Rainbow- Stone Cold Krokus- Screaming In The Night Red Rider- Lunatic Fringe
I would never, ever, make anyone else listen to this though. These are songs that I just happen to have a weakness for.

Good call with Lola. I must have seen a half dozen bar bands play that song back in college and I still loved it every time. The Kinks version is still the best though; also one of the few songs where I like the live version better than the studio version.

Great call with Lunatic Fringe. I love that song even though our local "AOR" station back in the day played the crap out of it. I also like the much less played "Cowboys In Hong Kong" from the same album.

Well, I'm not old enough to get tired of most songs
Pink Floyd - Learning To Fly Queen - Show Must Go On Europe - Final Countdown Scorpions - Winds Of Change
I only watch vh1 classics from time to time, so my level of overplay is not that high to get tired of a song. However I can live better without hearing Breaking The Law and especially Living After Midnight in near future. Now these two stuck in my head

If I hear 'Smoke on the Water' 'Paranoid' 'Back In Black' and 'Comfortably Numb' on the radio, I usually switch it off, but in the context of an album I can still listen to these tunes and enjoy them.

As far as radio in my area is concerned, these are the only two songs the Ramones ever recorded:

That's the nice thing about being radio-free (probably over ten years now), things don't get overplayed unless I choose to overplay them.

Yeah, they're all "classic rock" but that's probably because I haven't listened to the radio in about a decade so the only stuff that gets overplayed nowadays is stuff I overplay myself.
Pretty much me right there. I was still in High School when I listen to music on the radio on a regular basis and even then it was only classic rock. When we had Z-Rock around I would listen to that a lot but once they got rid of it in the mid-90s and replaced it with yet another Tejano station (like Texas doesn't have enough of those-just like country stations) I disgustedly gave up on radio.

I used to love to listen to the radio in the car. I was a dial spinner and had my favorites on preset. When I started hearing the same songs in the morning and then again in the evening on my commute I knew I wasn't long for radio any longer. And as the playlist shrunk so did the variety of stations.
