What songs have you heard millions of times in your life, but still do not tire of? Songs that, no matter how many times you hear them, you get excited about them. Only one song per band to keep it interesting.
For me:
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here The Beatles - Let It Be U2 - Bad King's X - Over My Head Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody David Bowie - Space Oddity Wings - Maybe I'm Amazed Black Sabbath - Heaven And Hell Queensryche - Eyes Of A Stranger Kansas - Carry On Wayward Son Journey - Only The Young

So far no song has been listed that I cringe at. Even by hipster S.D.

It certainly isn't from commercial radio overplay.
Seriously, when I think "overplayed", I immediately think of classic rock radio. Allot of these tunes people are listing as overplayed has me wondering where exactly is Def Leppard's 'No No No' is played to the point of exhaustion? Roller skating rinks? Who is overplaying Stryper's music anywhere? Christian dentist offices?

Well, I guess technically I did not mention radio...just songs you have heard a million times. Some of these choices are puzzling, though.

Yeah, I guess you could play the most obscure songs over and over on your stereo and never tire of them. I interpreted this thread subject as songs you hear on the radio all the time and therefore, if you have no control over the station, forced to listen to.

Well, an I-pod and no radio except for news radio puts all sorts of songs into play for the list. Love that track

Because threads like this are always the same. People don't want to post things other people have posted, so they start posting random stuff just to be different.

There are lots of songs i never get tired of, but to stay true to the spirit of the thread ill try to limit it to really big songs that are liable to be played by any given rock/metal fan or radio station.
Motörhead - Ace of Spades Dio - Holy Diver Pearl Jam - Yellow Leadbetter Led Zeppelin - Rock'n'roll Megadeth - holy wars... The punishment due Thin Lizzy - jailbreak (especially live versions) ZZ Top- La Grange
Love these tunes and whenever they come on they get cranked

Boston - "More Than A Feeling" Styx - "Suite Madame Blue" Head East - "Never Been Any Reason" AC/DC - "Highway To Hell" The Kings - "Switchin' To Glide" (overplayed when I lived in Murfreesboro, TN) The Outlaws - "Green Grass and High Tides" (unlike Freebird which would make me change the channel)
Yeah, they're all "classic rock" but that's probably because I haven't listened to the radio in about a decade so the only stuff that gets overplayed nowadays is stuff I overplay myself.
