Eh, never been a big beer fan to begin with finding most too bitter for my taste. Call me a wimp if you will, but I'm more of a cocktail guy. Honey Brow used to be the only beer I liked til they changed the formula. If I'm in the mood for beer I drink Bud Lite Lime. Of course I don't drink much to begin with, doesn't take much to get me buzzed (one drink/2 beers) or drunk (anything more).

welcome to the board! My ancestoral roots trace back to a man named Samuel Eakin from Derry County (b. 1769), and his son was named James Eakin (b. 1800) which also happens to be my name too. So I have very solid Irish roots on my dad's side. Just wanted to share that.

I too came across this forum years ago after Google searching some band (can't remember who--I think it was Six Feet Deep(?)).
Love all the discussions that go on here and sharing of different tastes. I have discovered and re-discovered many bands here.
Although my tastes remain strictly metal (even after all these years).
Well, metal along with: the Ramones, Vigilantes of Love, and '70s Kansas.

Our family history on my dad's side is mainly shrouded in mystery. However, my sister did some research and there is a strong possibility we have black Irish ancestry, but that's as close to Irish we get. However, my sister's husband's last name is Danagher so my niece and nephew for sure have Irish in them. On my mom's side is Russian, Polish, and French (insert joke here ).
